Additional Information

Leave the urban heart close to Central Station and shift towards the Waterland District, located just a quarter hour north of Amsterdam’s main area. While on comfortable bicycles, you’ll get to appreciate a landscape that’s as flat as a pancake, featuring serene streams, wooden homes, and of course, a windmill.

With the company of a seasoned tour guide, you’ll journey through scenic towns and villages, cycling along dikes and canals that lend the Waterland District its moniker. This land, rescued from the sea through Dutch ingenuity, is as brimming with history as it is with water.

Great way to see North Amsterdam - It was a blustery day and poured rain at times. Despite that we enjoyed the tour very much. Our guide Willem was excellent. Constant smiles and encouragement. We loved the pub stop. I would say this journey of 25 km would be a lot for children. Our 7 yr old road on a back seat and that was great. The 10 year old found it difficult on her own but made it!

Great Family Experience - This was an awesome adventure, and a great addition to our trip to Amsterdam. It was a great way to see the north side of Amsterdam, the countryside, and the small fishing villages. Our family group of seven (ranging from age 12 to 72) all enjoyed it. This was time and money well spent!

A great countryside bike tour - We took several tours during our week and a half vacation in Europe. David was by far, the best and most informative tour guide! It was great getting out of city center and experiencing a relaxing bike ride and the sights of the countryside. Bikes were in good shape as well!

Biking in the Dutch countryside - Perfect way to leave the noise of central Amsterdam for the quiet roads of the Dutch countryside. Riding the ferry with our bikes was a fun experience and visiting Ransdorp was a highlight.

Biking Bliss with Yellow Bike! - We did the maiden voyage of the Countryside and Villages Bike Tour. We absolutely loved the experience. This tour allows for all the enjoyment of biking without the fear associated with traveling through the city. We only rode in the city for a few minutes and boarded a ferry for a quick trip across to the countryside. We rode through beautiful parks and landscape. We reached our final destination and were given 90 minutes to explore cheese making, clog making and windmills. We sampled a lot of cheese and made a little picnic right in the lovely village. The e-bikes were in pristine condition easy to ride and lock. Our host, Jorgan was knowledgeable, caring and fun. We would do this again and it was a highlight of our visit to Amsterdam.

Glorious - Spectacular…Our guide stopped several times to tell us about the history and culture of where we were riding. He also rode at a speed comfortable for a group of a range of ages. What a gorgeous rural route, passing fields of cows, cottages, green fields, and bodies of water. We have had a wonderful week in Amsterdam, and this was certainly a highlight for the last day of our visit.

Nice bike tour - It was a nice trip. I had contact with the organization several times in advance and the questions and requests were handled promptly. We were in a group with various nationalities, so explanations were in English, but that was no problem for us. Nice tour.
