Good food Amazing Tour Guide - Marten - Marten was an amazing tour guide. He knew the area of Amsterdam inside and out, telling us about daily life in Amsterdam and enlightening us about their political system. why there are so many bikes, etc. Most importantly, he took us to the best Dutch food booths at the Albert Cyup Marketplace (which was wonderful). We samples fresh off the griddle Stroopwaffels, Bitterballen (A deep fried crunchy meat and potatoes ragout),Herring and BAtteer fried cod (both incredible), Poffertjes Small puffy pancakes) and a selection of cheeses from the area.

Marten and Food tour. A wonderful pairing - Marten was a super tour guide. He knew so much history currently and past and included some of the best of the Albert Cyup Marketplace. We tried several items all unique and different.

Fantastic experience - Olaf was a wonderful tour guide. His tour was rich in Dutch history and culture, and as a born and raised Amsterdamer he knew all the best places to stop for incredible bites to eat. He took us to places we never would have found on our own and introduced us to absolutely delicious authentic Dutch treats. I would definitely give him 15 out of 10 stars. We did this tour with Olaf right before everything closed down because of COVID. I am reposting my review because people are beginning to travel again, and this was an exceptional experience.

Wonderful Time - We had a fantastic time with Olav as he took our party of five on a food and culture tour of Amsterdam in March, 2019. Most of us had never visited before, and Olav was a most gracious and entertaining host. We could not have asked for a better experience. I connected with Olav before our arrival to provide some details on our group and he met us promptly at the designated meeting spot. The highlight was the visit to the Albert Cuyp Market where we tasted herring, cheeses, the original stroopwafel and poffertjes, my personal favorite. (The stroopwafel was incredible as well!) One of the places we were supposed to go was closed due to some sort of issue, so Olav took us to a local cafe where we sampled bitterballen and local beer. At my special request, he also took us to a local fast food place for french fries (the Dutch do them very well) and, finally, pointed us to the Rijksmuseum. Just a great way to spend 3 hours in Amsterdam with a wonderful local who was excited to show off his city, its food and culture. Great food and great company! While there certainly is a lot to see and do in Amsterdam, I highly recommend this food tour with Olav.

Amsterdam food tour - Joy was a delight - very interesting histories and stories of Amsterdam and great traditional Dutch food. Good choices of restaurants and a fair amount of walking. I got to see and experience areas of Amsterdam I would not have seen. Thank you.

Love food do the tour - Chris was our tour guide and was brilliant. We had 7 on our tour and we really enjoyed the whole experience. We were totally full after the tour, the amount of different food we tried was amazing whilst learning new recipes to try at home :-) don't think about doing the tour just book it you will not be disappointed. we did our tip in

Cancelled! - Do not EVER book a tour with these people. An hour before the tour was supposed to start, we got a notice that it was cancelled. Why would they accept the booking if they could not provide the tour???? We were very disappointed, and feel that Tripadvisor should vet their tours more carefully.

Guide failed to show up for the tour! - The guide didn’t show for the tour. Called her at the number provided. She said she failed to check the schedule. She said she would contact the office and advise them. Hopefully TripAdvisor will refund my money (260.00+). I’m also out taxi fee from Central station to the meeting place (€35.00+) and the Uber fee from the meeting place to our hotel. (44.00+) Also, I think we missed out on some good food. Buyer be ware!

No show tour guide! - Booked through TripAdvisor. The guide was a no show! I received a reminder the day before with the guide contact info. Called her 15 minutes after start time and she stated she wasn’t informed she had a tour.
