We had the best time, thank you!! - Me and my boyfriend did the 1 hour evening cruise at 6pm and it was perfect! As it was freeeezing outside we were grateful that the boat was nice and warm with comfy seats but still had an amazing view of the canals. We were given headphones to plug in for an audio guide, which was really informative and made the trip interactive.
The captain was funny, friendly and great at letting us know when photo opportunities were coming up! I learnt so much history about the canals and city and also some top tips like where and how to get a free boat over to the north.
Overall, I’m really glad that we chose to go with lovers cruises, thank you!

Excellent experience to see the Christmas lights - We booked a cruise with this company whilst in Amsterdam to see the Christmas lights as recommended by our hotel.
Exceptionally well organised with a coffee shop prior to going on board.
The Captain - who spoke multiple languages - made the tour fun and the headset provided lots of information about Amsterdam.
The boat itself was clean, warm and comfortable.
If going on a cruise in Amsterdam I would definitely recommend Lovers Canal Cruises.

Great experience, very quick though! - Lovely experience. The man leading it was very friendly and quirky.
Cafe was lovely too. Nice waiting area before we set sail. Shame there was no food available for purchase except pringles.
I genuinely thought it would have sailed past the Anne Frank building but alas it did not.

Boring, cold, miserable…. Lost the vibe before even getting on the boat. - The light show was okay. Nothing great and was unable to see a lot due to shape of the boats. However this is not why my review is 2/5 stars. Firstly, there are too many people booked onto each session and you are not on the boat anywhere near the time you booked for, clear sign of a company who cares more about money than their customers. If you have X boats with X spaces that goes out at for a certain time that’s the amount of tickets you sell, not more and leave your customers queuing for over 45mins, by that point after dealing with other rude people pushing in the lines, barging their way through because there were no staff monitoring people cutting in line.
Don’t book unless you have several hours for the canal tour and wrap up warm ready for the queue.
As the owner likes to ask what they can do to improve - ONLY ALLOW PEOPLE TO BOOK FOR THE AMOUNT OF SEATS YOU HAVE AND DONT LEAVE THEM WAITING FOR OVER 45mins.

You can save the boat trip... - The ride was really bad, very tight, uncomfortable. bad visibility Was unfortunately not fun. The money can be invested elsewhere. ;-(

Outrageous - We were present on time as requested. However, we were not helped to where we needed to be and there was complete chaos. After more than half an hour of queuing in an immobile queue we went to inquire. Here we were silenced that we should just shut up and sit down. Which turned out we were effectively in the wrong line. Once arrived in the boat it was crammed over. Our reservation was scheduled at 17h, at 17h30 we still had not left. As a result, our other reservations fell through. We are disappointed and angry about the lack of service and the rudeness of this company.

AVOID AT ALL COST. LIGHT SHOW WAS A GIMMICK! - We took the light show cruise at night on a drizzly day thinking it was a good use of time - see the sights while comfortably sitting down and staying dry. It was far from it. All the windows were fogging up and there were leaks inside the boat. the captain was not helpful and did not say much. Staff on the docks either did not care or were rude, and they did not even check our tickets. I will not recommend this. There are better cruises in Amsterdam

Boat factory, run away. An hour and a half late. - Our scheduled departure time was 8:45 p.m. We arrived at 8.30pm as requested on the reservation. More than an hour waiting under 0 degrees to finally leave at 9:55 pm!!
No explanation, the staff take their time and don't care about you. A real gas plant, there is no reservation limit so the queue is endless. The windows are dirty, we put the audio in French, it comes out in English. And none of these points will be corrected because it is a factory so no interest, just profit.
Choose smaller boats, we saw some very nice ones afterwards, search a little on the internet, do not do like us to take the first link, you will regret it!

Worst experience ever - It is the worst ever, I don't recommend that you do any tours with this company. They are very unorganised..You need to wait like an hour on the queue before you start the cruise although they only ask you to come 5 mins earlier. Their boats are not good, and the time is much more than listed because they don't organize boats in the river.
