Informative and delicious! - Our friendly, informative guide Dirk brought us around to try various Amsterdam foods, including Apple Pie, herring, bitterballen, cheeses, etc, always accompanied with a coffee, tea, wine or beer as you choose. Everything was delicious, and Dirk gave history as well as being open to any questions. The walking loop through Jordaan was interspersed with sit down eats, so not overly strenuous for this senior. Highly recommend!

Stroopwaffle and fish - This tour was great with our host and a fun walk through Amsterdam while eating local foods! Stroopwaffles and pancakes and fish! Terrific way to spend the morning and then stroll the city. Our host was social and knew the details of our foods--apple pie, pickled fish and pickles, and Stroopwaffle, all good!

This gem of culinary delights and Dutch history tour exceeded expectations! - We love to start off an adventure in a new city with a food and history tour. This experience of boutique establishments combined with the rich Dutch history has probably ruined me for life … I don’t think anyone could have planned a more unique and enjoyable outing. Rudolph was a wonderful historian and charming. He set the stage for the most enjoyable experience possible! This tour was a little pricey however worth every penny!

Super fun food tour through the heart of Amsterdam - This was a very nice food tour. The participating restaurants / shops had very good and especially tasty snacks and drinks. The Jordaan is a very nice part of Amsterdam with many small and authentic shops and restaurants. Our guide Mark could tell animatedly about the history and had a lot of knowledge. We had a great afternoon.

We are a group of four... - We are a group of four joining another two couples from the states. The eight of us are visiting Amsterdam. I communicated with Thijs, the founder of the operator, as I intended to give a fair review base on facts. Firstly, it would be unfair to give a one star review given all the good efforts and care our guide Mark, the operating company and the owners of places we visited had put in, therefore two stars. We have enjoyed our time with Mark our guide, the places we visited as well as friendly gestures of other guests. The culprit who left us a really bad taste with this tour and Amsterdam is a “fellow guide” / “business relation” person the tour operator had invited. This person is called Nikolett who refers herself as the “observer” intended to become a guide for the tour. The founder’s clarifications in-line with her claims. We have never had such a bad experience with a guide (or a guide to be), it was really unfortunate for the price we paid. I was prepared to introduce myself when she arrived but she didn’t bother to give any indication she was willing to do so. She is a hard to reach person to me as she chose to chat with the first couple, and later with the second couple who arrived after her. My group does not exist to her while both couples from the states are very friendly to us. We had used another two operators on Viator on the same trip which both gave us great times at the canals and windmills. My recommendation is perhaps you should check with the operator if they are inviting their own guests before deciding to join. I would rate myself as a good tipper, but not in this case. I felt insulated. I would not recommend unless you are ready for the unexpected. I accepted an apology from the founder of the operator. That does not change the bad taste we have experienced, unfortunately.

Underwhelming and not worth the price - This food tour was a very disappointing experience. I generally love food tours in cities I’m visiting. They usually provide great history and local cuisine that a tourist might not discover otherwise. This one was a four hour slow trudge around a very large block. This tour bills itself as having experienced tour guides but that’s not the case. The guide was a very young guy who seemed less than enthused about the tour mostly walking in silence with the group. There wasn’t much food included in the tour and I was kind of relieved when we were finished. I noticed a number of other similar groups also with student guides trudging around the same block. This food tour was also more expensive than most. There might be other good food tours in Amsterdam, but this one is not worth it.
