- Anne Frank House - A museum at Westermarkt 20, dedicated to Anne Frank and her family who hid during World War II. The museum is built around their hiding place, where Anne wrote her famous diary.
- Brouwersgracht - Dug southward from 1612, this canal is named after the many breweries that existed in the area in the 16th and 17th centuries. Most warehouses have been converted into homes.
- Nieuwe Haarlemmersluis - Completed in 1602, this lock in the sea dike around the city prevented seawater from flowing into the canals at high tide. The old city wall originally stood on the site of the new lock, which was demolished in 1601 to expand the city westward.

Cozy boat trip through the Amsterdam canals! - Today sailed through the canals of Amsterdam with Mokumboot. With hostess Shuan and skipper Lisa maneuvering her boat through everything with a smile. They both absolutely contribute to a cozy atmosphere on board. I would definitely recommend it to anyone!

Outstanding Open Boat Experience - I liked traveling in an open boat. It is a lot easier in taking pictures. The crew was interesting, giving humorous stories about the various local sites. The I Amsterdam card works too. So, this great canal ride was free!

Excellent Personalized Tour with Fantastic Guides! - This boat tour is amazing! Our tour guides were Jan and Ana and they provided a very safe tour and cruise of the canals. This is an open air boat without a roof which allows you to see panoramic views of the city. It’s also a small format cruise - our boat had about only 12 people so it’s less crowded and less noisy than the large covered boats that most tourists take. It’s also more personalized and you can talk directly to the tour guides instead of them being on a microphone isolated in the front. Along the way the guides provided information about the history of Amsterdam and local architecture. There is also a drink option if you want to enjoy a nice glass of wine while you cruise. Overall an excellent tour and I highly recommend!
