Great experience - Great experience - we had seen the art around the city without knowing what it was. Having a guided tour to explain the artists' intentions, as well as explore the enchanting city by boat, was the best way to experience the light show. The mulled wine kept us warm - overall an excellent experience. @tracitravel for more tips!

Lovely excursion - Great way to see Amsterdam especially at night and in the winter months. All the bridges light up and it's well worth doing.

Lovely trip - Lovely evening out. Was absolutely freezing and some seats on the boat were damp. But the crew were great, really informative and entertaining, the views of the city were stunning and the lovely light up art exhibitions were well displayed too.

A Comfortable Way to See the City - We enjoyed the cruise. The boat was covered and warm (it was a chilly wet night) and it was an interesting way to see the city. The drinks were free, as they promised, and I recommend the mulled wine--very gezellig. The guide filled us in on local history and was informative. The four stars (as opposed to five) was because the light festival itself was meh, to use a bit of technical jargon. Each work of art had a moral (basically "technology is bad" while many of the artists used technology to create their works) and that became tiresome. I also think you would see more of the city in the daylight. It's a beautiful city, and it's nice to be able to take good photos.

Below expectations - Below expectations. The festival is limited to certain illuminated works in the canals, the cruise is comfortable but better in daylight

Tourist thing - It’s just something to do as a tourist but definitely would not go in the winter time again. The light show itself was very underwhelming. But the boat ride itself was nice but I would do a different boat tour next time. The staff were very nice and informative during the tour.

Not Good experience - Trip was just ok. Guide was not in good shape on new years day but views were cool. Too expensive for what they offered. Think we got the short straw on guide as reviews had been great. Did point us in direction of Maritime Museum which wouldn't have gone to otherwise and that was a highlight.
