Great way to see so much! - Great way to see so much of the city and a very affordable option. Our original cruise was cancelled due to the rain but they were quick to accommodate us on which tour we rescheduled.

Great value for money - Booked a canal cruise in a small open boat with Blue Boat company. Chose them partly because the start location in Leidseplein was convenient for us, but also because the price point was good. Really enjoyed the tour - the length was spot on at 75 mins and the pacing great - enough information but not a torrent of words, so we had plenty of time to enjoy the visual experience and calm nature of travelling on the water.

Nice experience - We enjoyed the small group and open boat nature of the tour. Our guide was great. I'm quite sure we had more fun and we're able to see more than the larger covered boats. Thanks!

Hans Boat Tour - Hans’ boat tour was very nice. Enjoyed seeing the city and surrounds from a different perspective. Really liked that it was an open boat with few people.

Blue Boat Open Boat Canal Tour - I liked that since the boat was open you could see all around. Also, since it's a smaller boat we could go through smaller waterways/bridges!

Nice open air boat and... - Nice open air boat and tour guide. Boat was a little overbooked so it was a little hard to hear the guide. Overall was happy with our experience.

It was OK - There is a big choice of canal tours around Amsterdam. This one is operated by the Blue Boat Company which also operates trips in the large enclosed boats. I would recommend going on a small boat as the large ones cannot go down the smaller canals even though the small ones tend to be more expensive. The trip leaves from the Blue Boat Company base which is rather out of the way compared to some others. Bottled Water is expensive at the ticket office so make sure you bring your own. We had 23 on our boat which appeared crowded, although we were told it could take up to 32. That would be VERY crowned. The commentary was interesting but there was no microphone so you need to sit near the 'captain' to hear everything. It didn't help that there was a virtually permanent radio from base transmitting. On the day of our trip the canals were very busy and I couldn't help thinking that some of the other boats looked less crowded and possibly more interesting. If you are staying near the base you will probably enjoy it but I would suggest that you don't book in advance to enable you to see how crowded your trip is likely to be.

Nope - Waited on the open boat tour and they never announced they were doing that we could hear. Put us on the inside boat. Not we had in mine. Audio didn't work most of the time. Captain filled in a little. Pretty much boring.

Very Disappointed - We waited at the dock over an hour for the last boat at 6:45. We asked if we could go earlier on a boat with open seats but we’re told no. At 7:00, with no boat in sight, we asked again what was happening to be told oh, that time is cancelled. We were allowed on the last boat which was not the canal boat we wanted. Will never go again.

See a blue boat.. run!! - I am sorry there is nothing positive to leave for feedback.. I clapped when it was over. Buying a ticket felt more like a hustle. When the boat pulls there is zero organization once you realize that there are like 40 tables with seat and 100 people boarding you try to get on in a hurry to sit together. That did not happen for us. We are huddle next to the bathroom. Then you decide if you ask strangers if you can sit with them then your family is all over the boat. Great experience to have together. Nobody tells you to grab head sets when you get on and then once you get some it’s static and words every 3-5. So you just sit there not learning a darn thing. Please don’t choose the blue boats.. find one that has someone talking and interacting with you! Also we went in the hottest day and it was a sauna!!
