See the city - We had such a fun tour exploring the city! We went everywhere, had a lovely and informative guide and saw a lot. Thanks so much. We would recommend this for everyone.

What an adventure! - What an adventure! We had a great couple of hours, with the only issue being the rain (which can’t be helped). Darting about the streets of Amsterdam - as dangerous as it sounds! We survived…..only just! Thanks for the experience.

Enjoy Amsterdam via a segway - Although we toured during a rain storm, the tour guide was great. Gave us a wonderful tour through Amsterdam city. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The tour guide was very knowledgeable about the city. He even should us about his boyhood group up in the city. I would recommend it for anyone wanted to see the city in a different perspective.

An absolute blast!!! - Noah was the best guide!!!!! We had a blast!! We saw so much of Amsterdam!! It was a wonderful day!!!

Best way to know Amsterdam - Best way to visit the city. Segways share bike lanes (they will not like you that much) but there are no restrictions on where to go. Samuel was great in showing us the city. I feel we were able to see a lot in two hours. Be careful with traffic, a little bit crazy at times.

Technology needed - Amsterdam is a very busy and noisy city. It has a lot of beautiful sites and interesting history. The issue I had was: The guide was soft spoken and with six of us, many of us didn’t know what she was saying. Please get headsets for the riders so they can hear. They use them on tours all the time. This would help your patrons and your guide.

Just OK- guide not informed - We love Segways- We do a tour everywhere we visit both to enjoy the ride but also to get to know our surrounding. This guide, Peter, didn’t really know anything about the town, couldn’t answer any questions, and even got lost getting back to where we started. Nice man, just shouldn’t be a guide.

Bad location, uninformative guides, marginal machines. Can't recommend. - I hate to give a negative review because the guys at Segway Amsterdam seem like genuinely nice, good people. But my wife and I have done Segway tours in several American and European cities, and this was without a doubt the worst one. If all you want to do is ride a Segway, the ride was OK. But if you want a "tour," where you are with knowledgeable guides where you can actually learn something about the city, this is not the tour for you. First, the meeting place is in an old school quite a long way from the city center (Central Railway station, Royal Palace, etc.), so it was a 20-30 minute walk to get there. Then the first 30 minutes of the "tour" was spent riding in circles in a very small courtyard in the school, then in a park across the street. I get that the guides need to know the clients are competent riders, but this was quite excessive. The next 10-15 minutes was riding back down the very busy street to get to someplace you want to see. The first stop was the museum near the Ann Frank House. One tour guide said, "This is the famous Ann Frank House. Well, actually the house is around the corner. You can see it another time if you like." The second guide said, "Yes, I don't recommend it." That was the extent of any description or historical context. The Royal Palace was the same. The Hart Museum was "That's the Hart Museum. I've never been in there." We went through the Rijksmuseum courtyard, which I only know because I saw a sign. On the entire tour we were never allowed to stop and get off the machines. If you've ridden a Segway before, you know your feet go to sleep in about 20 minutes. On other Segway tours the guides have always parked us every 10 to 15 minutes -- not just for the feet, but to actually talk to us, answer questions, and allow us to take photos (every photo I took on this tour was taken with one hand while moving, which was not only dangerous, but it resulted in really awful photos. The last 15 minutes was riding back to the meeting point, which means that of the 2-hour tour, 30 minutes was riding in circles, and 30 minutes was riding to and from their remote location. One last thing -- I don't know how hard it is to maintain a Segway, but one of the guides had one with a faulty steering column and another person's tire started going flat during the ride. One of the guides had a spare tire on his Segway, but they didn't change her tire, she just had to deal with it. (The guide with the bad steering column actually said, "Yeah, these things need a lot of work.") I'm not saying this was a total horror story, but the combination of the remote location, the total lack of professional, knowledgeable guides, and the marginal quality of the machines means I cannot recommend this to anyone.

It all depends on your guide - Having taken a fantastic Segway tour in Rome I was really looking forward to his one. Unfortunately our guide (woman, I don’t recall her name) spoke so low she was barely audible. I don’t think anyone more than 2 feet away could hear her and she was not able to address the group of 8. Since a lot of the tour is “ pass by”, we would stop periodically to observe a Site but no one could hear her. Fortunately Noah, another guide, was at the end of the line for safety, and he was able to answer our questions and provide commentary we could hear. Very unfortunate.

The tour company was a no show. - We showed up at 2pm and no one was there at their meeting point. We called the contact number and were told they could not help us!! So no Segway ride for us. We were sent multiple reminders about our tour…it appears the tour company needed the reminders.
