• Munt Tower (Munttoren) - The Munttoren, or Mint Tower, is a historic tower located at the busy intersection of the Amstel River and the Singel canal in Amsterdam. In 1618, a large fire destroyed most of the gate, including one of the towers. The surviving tower was rebuilt in 1620, incorporating a new upper section designed by the architect Hendrick de Keyser. This renovation gave the Munttoren its current distinctive appearance.
