Experience the stunning landscapes of the North Holland region and discover the conventional fishing town of Volendam. Observe clog production at a wooden shoe shop and sample a variety of cheese at a Dutch dairy farm. Zaanse Schans, an outdoor conservation area, sits on the fringes of the River Zaan and boasts authentic 18th and 19th-century constructions, with several operational windmills and timber houses. From there, the journey takes you to the charming Edam village, also known as the ‘pearl of the Zuiderzee.’ Edam is adorned with tranquil canals and ancient streets, bordered by stately 17th-century structures like the Carillon tower, the majestic Church, and the old town hall. From Florida - Yolanda was our tour guide and she was fantastic. Her knowledge of the sites and the country itself helped us get great perspective. I recommend her of you have an opportunity to choose. The only suggestion I would give is to provide estimated times at the stops to plan for bathroom breaks.

Time well spent - Seeing the small countryside towns. I also enjoyed all the information Yolanda shared with us about the area and country. I was happy to have a little free time to wonder through shops and eat. The only downfall was not being able to visit inside a windmill. Personally, I’d find a different site to take tourists.

Nice, but definitely tourist created location stops. - Nice to see the countryside. With the time it took to get to each town, there was limited time to wonder and look around.

Abandoned 1 mile out from Arranged Drop off Site - This tour left us 1 mile away from where we left with no other option than to walk back. I am still recovering from a knee surgery and was promised to be picked up and dropped off at the same location. The promised was not kept and left me having to hobble over a mile back to the origin point of the tour. Would not recommend!!!
