A "Must Do" for all Foodies! - This tour was one if thes best tours I've ever done. What's not to love about great food and great history! Not only will you get to try 7 to 8 different food items, you'll also get interesting facts about Amsterdam, her history, and her culture. Be sure to do your tour with Tolga. He was fantastic! All of the food was amazing and it was difficult to select a favorite. However when Tolga asked me my favorite, I had to go with the mini pancakes! Highly recommend this tour for all foodies or international food enthusiasts. You will not leave disappointed or hungry.

Incredible Experience, Incredible Guide, Lots of Fun! - Our experience with the food tour was fantastic. Gerard was an excellent guide. The food itself was terrific - it felt like such an authentic little glimpse of local staples and Dutch cuisine. While just getting to experience 6 food stops, we were thoroughly stuffed by the tour's end. Some stops had multiple offerings (like multiple types of fish, multiple types of cheese), while others were just a single large items (dutch apple pie, Indonesian sandwich). At each stop, everyone in the group thought we had plenty to eat. None of the portions were too small or too big. The food really was excellent, you will not be disappointed. Overall, that part of the tour was well worth the ticket price. Gerard also made the tour a lot better than it might have been with a less personable guide. Gerard constantly engaged with everyone in the group, asking us questions and getting to know us whenever he wasn't teaching us about the landmarks and the history of the area. Everyone felt quite comfortable with him right away and it made the group dynamic much more fun. He is certainly of the better guides we have had out of the many international tour activities we've done. I would try to get on a tour with him if that is something you can pre-select when getting tickets. I would also book directly on the Eating Europe site if you can. It's cheaper (wish we had know in advance) because you're not paying a surcharge for whatever the booking site's premium/cut is. I would love to go on another tour like this again. If there was another tour in Amsterdam run by the same company with the same guide, that just had different food stops and history, we would go tomorrow. I would highly recommend skipping the meal beforehand that is closest to your tour start time. For example, if you do the 1200 tour, either skip breakfast or just eat a very light breakfast to hold you over. If you eat a full meal, you will regret not being able to eat more on the tour - you'll want all the space you can get! Highly recommended, had a great time!

A tasty experience - We loved our food tour around Amsterdam with our lovely tour guide Johanna. The food choices were varied and very enjoyable. Johanna made the experience memorable with interesting tidbits of info about the areas we traversed. And the canal ride with the special liqueur toast topped off the tour.
