Highlights
  • Aloha - Departing point. You will meet our guides there!
  • Zaanse Schans - In Zaanse Schaans you can tour and photograph the country’s most famous windmills and traditional 15th-century houses. We will also visit a clog shop to learn the secrets of this traditional Dutch footwear.
  • Edam - We return to the road route for a few minutes to discover the province of Waterland: dams, polder, locks and a spectacular palette of greens that will accompany us throughout the day.
We will arrive at the town of Edam to discover its alleys and its imposing architecture. A town with a name as peculiar as its famous cheese. Houses surrounded by canals and bridges or spectacular churches of Christian and Protestant tradition make Edam the best way to get to know the Golden Age of the Netherlands.
  • Volendam - We will continue our route until we reach Volendam, a fishing village of small colorful houses and original shops. Here we will enjoy an aperitif tasting the most typical product of the Dutch farm: cheese.
There will be free time for lunch. After strolling through the charming streets with views of the canals or relaxing on a terrace, we will reach the last town on the route.
  • Marken - Finally we will arrive at Marken, a spectacular peninsula located on Lake IJsselmeer. Together with our guides we will let ourselves be carried away by a town of fishermen’s houses and dream gardens facing the sea.
  • Aloha - We will return to Amsterdam after spending an unforgettable day touring the towns near Amsterdam among colors, windmills and traditions. Reserve now!

Ana Guide of 10. - Excellent excursion on a rainy day, but all saved by the excellent Malaga Pro Ana, bilingual in Spanish and an excellent and perfect English. Thanks to Ana we discover many details of the populations visited and also of the Netherlands and Holland. Of note besides the mills of Zaanse Schans, the visit to the cheese factory of Volendam and the recommended restaurant also in Volendam, fresh fish (cod) fried at the moment with a spectacular quality-price. In short day trip super recommended if you are in Amsterdam.

Nice discovery. - First time with Buendía tours and has been a great discovery. Good organization. Well balanced and enjoyable bilingual tour. Guide, Andrea, excellent. The driver, Jose, is super prudent and attentive. New coach. The food included, typical, very good. We will repeat with Buendía elsewhere.

£100 family of four great value for money - Can’t believe how good value this tour was! It cost £100 for a family of four. The driver turned up on time. The coach was clean and had air conditioning. The female tour guide- Short dark curly haired lady (9/07/2024) was absolutely lovely. She slipped in and out of English and Spanish seemingly and was very informative. The bus driver on the day was a very good driver. We all felt safe and looked after throughout the journey. The tour itself was brilliant. Each place we visited had something different to offer and it was lovely to experience a different side to the Netherlands. I only wish we could have had a little longer in Zaanse Schans and Edam we only had around 50 mins in Zaanse Schans and 35 in Edam. I’d have preferred to have a little more time to explore Edam independently as it’s such a beautiful place.

Exploring villages around Amsterdam - Great way of visiting small villages near Amsterdam. Our guide Agustín was very helpful and gave us a lot of information about the places we went to. The only negative aspect in my opinion is that there isn't enough time to really enjoy walking around. This would be solved by making the duration of the stops a little longer and arriving in Amsterdam later.

Great day. - We did a tour through Get Your Guide called: Amsterdam: Zaanse Schans, Edam, Volendam & Marken Bus Tour It was a packed bus but it went very well. Stopped in all the places mentioned. Got to sample Gouda cheese in about 25 different flavors. Saw how the wooden shoe was made. Saw the old fashioned working windmills. Got to eat lunch on the water in a beachfront town. Great day. My only complaint about this tour was the location of pick up and drop off. The "Aloha" Bowling Alley. It was a nightmare trying to get a ride back to the hotel from there. Uber was terrible. Kept getting a driver who would end up canceling. We ended up walking to the train station and getting a cab from there who charged us twice the amount as the cab driver who brought us there in the morning.

A bit disorganized - Nice places. You’re a bit disorganized. Tourists sitting in any seats available and other tourists who had set places to sit were angry. It would have been more organized also if the whole trip was English speaking instead of split.
