Two feet and a heartbeat - Loved it! Alexandra was so warm, welcoming and passionate about her beloved city. We loved learning about family life, the openness and culture of Amsterdam. Made all the better by sharing with Amsterdamians! We met two amazing people who shared their stories and experiences. A lovely lady who is helping refugees develop a community and another lady who gave us the inside knowledge of the red light district. We even made friends along the way. Sharing a table with a German couple whilst eating apple cake and ending up in a lovely pub where no one wanted to leave so we stayed on for more drinks! A unique and wonderful way to spend an afternoon and evening! 😊

The Most Unique Experience You Can Book in Amsterdam - This was one of the most unique experiences I've ever booked on a trip. As someone who is not a huge museum lover, getting to meet locals, and hear about Amsterdam beyond the basic historical facts was such a treat. We got to find out what makes Amsterdam special to those who live there. Our host, Alexandra, was so enthusiastic and clearly loves what she does along with the city of Amsterdam and its people. The most special part of the entire experience was meeting a few of the locals and hearing what they do and how the city has impacted their lives as well. I can't recommend this tour enough.

Definitely would recommend! - This was a great tour Alex and Adam were really nice to deal with, weren’t rushed and were great to chat with in between stops on the tour. We did this the day we landed and it was a great call, got to know the place and got a bearing on our way round. We met two locals from very different walks of life, both of whom were super interesting. If you aren’t looking for a run of the mill tour, this is the one you want!

Excellent trop to know Amsterdam! - I joined the trip right after I arrived in Amsterdam, which helped me quickly get to know the city. Alexandra's explanation was very interesting and passionate. The people she took us to meet and their stories helped me learn a lot about the social and human side of Amsterdam that general tours won’t tell. And there were apple pie, beer, and more delicious food!It was great! Recommend to friends coming to Amsterdam!

Gezelligheid Amsterdam - an unexpected tour about the real people in a big city that’s really a cozy little town - The best kind of vacation is when you travel somewhere and you get to know the people and the community; when you step outside of being a tourist and experience how locals live. This walking tour was a highlight of our vacation to learn things about the history, architecture, economy, and mostly the people who live and work here in Amsterdam. A unique and wonderful experience.

Not a generic walking tour - Excellent way to learn about Amsterdam and the people who live in this beautiful city. Great perspective. Memorable for all in our family (including 2 teenagers).

The best tour, don’t hesitate to book! The hype is real! - This was, by far, the best tour we have ever done, and we have tried all kinds in many different countries. Alexandra is not just an experienced and wonderful guide; she is a unique human being. The tour focuses on real people of Amsterdam with authentic stories, and independent and varied points of view. We met with her “friends”, and heard their own stories first hand, all whilst walking through De Wallen and Jordaan, experiencing a Brown Cafe, a Coffee Car, and an “Honest” Bar. Through all of this, Alexandra weaved a tapestry of interesting historical and contemporary issues without sounding like a school teacher or a political commentator. It felt like we were in someone’s living room. On top of that, she was able to create camaraderie amongst the rest of the tour participants. We all left the tour knowing something about each other and felt a warmth toward humanity. This is a one of a kind experience and it truly felt like a gift!

A different look at Amsterdam - We had a great 4 hours with Alexandra meeting some of the “Humans of Amsterdam”. Plenty of opportunities to ask questions and pause along the way.

Disappointing - Made a reservation through trip advisor. It was confirmed. They cancelled our trip for not having enough people a couple days prior. Seems like if you make a commitment you should follow through. I was prepared to make it worth their while but didn’t get that option.
