Worth Visiting. Try To Go Earlier In the Tulip Season! - We went on the last day of the season for Keukenhof which was May 12, 2024. The majority of the tulip beds were spent without blossoms. Throughout the gardens new flowers were brought in for smaller beds or planters to provide some color. However, if you want to see the entire gardens full of blossoming tulips you need to go earlier in the season. This includes all the tulip farms that are around the gardens. They were all harvested by this date. This is Holland was convenient to get to from Amsterdam city center. The bus ride was comfortable and convenient to leave when we were ready.

Wonderful gardens and a "must see" if you're in Amsterdam at the right time - The gardens were beautiful. We got there two days before the season closed, so some of the tulips were shot and had been deadheaded. Still, there was plenty of other flowers and tulips to see. The only complaint is that it was packed. We had to get tickets ahead of time and there was a limited number, so I thought it would be less crowded. We had problems getting a seat on the Keukenhof shuttle bus there, so we had to take an Uber and that cost us about $80 Euro. I enjoyed the ride there because some of the large, commercial buildings we saw along the way had amazing architecture.

“Field” a bucket list…seeing tulips in the Netherlands - Loved the gardens. The park was picturesque and the variety of the 800 tulips was beautiful. Buses run all day. The next day we went on another tulip trip to the large tulip fields in the north Both were gorgeous and I would recommend to do both!

Flowers Galore - A great day trip from Amsterdam. The price includes a ticket into the gardens and a shuttle bus. Definitely worth the price. Having shuttle buses available several times every half hour to take you back allows for you to spend as much time as you want without being too rushed. Traffic was definitely heavy coming from Amsterdam. I would arrive as early as possible, because it gets busy quickly. The flower gardens were unbelievable beautiful, offering picturesque stops at every turn.

A meditative journey away from the heart of the city - If you end up in Amsterdam and think it would be nice to experience some tulips, this is a good tip. You buy a ticket with entry. The buses run frequently, so you can choose for yourself whether you just want to make a short visit to Keukenhof or whether you want to spend the whole day there. And even if someone like me doesn't manage to hit the ultimate tulip season (I was there the second week of May and by then the bloom was pretty much over) a walk in the park is good for the soul. Even though there are quite a few visitors, you can easily find your own oasis where you can listen to birdsong and enjoy rippling water and verdant flower beds.

Gorgeous! Don’t Miss! - This place was absolutely gorgeous with the tulips in bloom. Who knew that there were so many varieties in so many colors…even a green flower! It’s hard to describe how beautiful it is but we thought that it rivaled Buchart Gardens in Victoria,BC. This was definitely at the top of our highlights in the Netherlands, so far. Remember, that we went in April, knowing that the tulips would be in full bloom at that time.

Beauty in flowers - We walked at leisure and took our time to see this wonderful display of beautiful flowers. Money well spent. It is definitely worth going by bus as traffic is quite heavy getting there and back.
