Tea was an incredible... - Tea was an incredible guide. Two and a half hours flew by. The museum is enormous, and she carefully selected the “best” representative art of the Dutch masters. Her perspective helped us understand not only the artists and their styles and techniques but also Dutch culture.

A great introduction. - It was a great introductory tour of the Rijksmuseum, because it would take a week or more to go through the whole museum

Van Gaugh, Rembrandt and more! - The museum itself it absolutely ourstanding. Our tour guide, Tea, was exceptional. Her art history knowledge was second to none. A small group tour (party of 4), I was pleased to learn about Danish influences on art as I know and appreciate it today. Well worth the money for an intimate art experience.

Rijksmuseum - Carola R was an incredible tour guide. She shared so much information. If it had been possible we would have spent 4 or 5 hours with her, but even then, it probably wouldn’t be enough time.

Two Thumbs Up for Cecilia - I had the absolute pleasure of joining a guided tour led by Cecilia, and I can confidently say it was one of the best museum experiences I’ve ever had. Cecilia was simply fantastic—knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly passionate about every piece we explored. She didn’t just recite facts—she told stories. From the historical background to the little-known anecdotes, Cecilia brought the artworks and exhibits to life in a way that made the whole experience feel immersive and inspiring. I especially appreciated how she tailored the tour to our group’s interests and encouraged questions along the way. It’s clear that Cecilia genuinely loves what she does, and that enthusiasm was truly contagious. I walked away with a much deeper appreciation for the art and the history behind it. If you’re visiting, I highly recommend joining a tour with Cecilia. She’ll absolutely elevate your museum experience!

Very crowded, but worth it. - I had a semi private guided tour. Many people do an audio tour, and that might be as informative. The museum is very crowded, so they make people with backpacks, wear them on their front. I can understand why, after being bumped a few times by clueless People. The talent of the 17th century masters is undeniable. The subject matter of wealthy patrons can be at times amusing, and at other times somewhat nauseating Amsterdam at the time seem to be all about showing your wealth.
