Fabulous experience - We visited out of pure interest, not to buy any diamonds. We were shown around by a lovely knowledgeable gentleman who was not only too happy to answer all of our (sometimes silly) questions but provided us with a thorough explanation of the diamond cutting process. It was fascinating to see all the diamonds whilst learning why their own cut is considered one of the best in the world. There were opportunities to select and buy diamonds and have them made into jewellery if you wished and when I’m next looking for a special item of jewellery I would definitely return.

Must Do - It was amazing to see what goes in to making the perfect diamond. Our tour guide was great and was fun to go into a private room and actually handle and look at the diamonds. We came home with some beautiful jewelry.

Diamond lovers - It is worth it to book the private tour. You get to see more. You don't have to buy diamonds, but if you can, why not! Our your guide was lovely and we had a really great time.

Perfect experience - We made reservations before we arrived in Amsterdam for this tour. Mae was our guide. She was very knowledgeable and had a great personality. At the end of the tour we wanted to buy a couple things. We were seated in a room just off the main show room and offered something to drink(including champagne). Nareerat, the manager, showed us diamond earrings from the showroom. We enquired about buying loose diamonds so we could get the quality we wanted. We were very pleasantly surprised when several loose diamonds were sent to our room. Quality and clarity of each diamond was reviewed with us as was the qualities of the settings. There was absolutely no pressure to the sale. The stones were set and returned to us within 20 minutes. They are gorgeous!! My husband had them show us Diamond rings also. They showed us several rings and I chose a beautiful 5 Diamond ring with perfect color and clarity. They sized it up my ring within 15 minutes. We received certificates including cut, clarity and color. Fantastic activity in Amsterdam! Highly recommended!

Interesting tour - This was a mother & daughter morning excursion before our afternoon flight home. A quick and interesting ~30 minute tour led us through the three Royal Coster buildings in the Museum District.

After the tour you can see (and shop) the beautiful jewelery they have for sale. You get a present after the tour!, blingbling

Save $50 - Was greeted by someone who hardly spoke English. Didn't want to show us anything about the diamond making process. Was whisked away to a showroom. When we started to walk out saying this whole thing was a sham and we came to see the diamond making process, a lovely woman intervened and chased the idiot that had been assigned to us away. She salvaged the visit and gave a very nice tour and a presentation of very beautiful cut diamonds. She also gave us a bag of token gifts but it wasn't worth $50.

Tour for commercial purposes only - It was a visit solely and exclusively for commercial purposes, technical had very little. For those in the industry it is better to let go of money and time wasted.

Not worth a diversion - There are not many reasons to bother with the 30 minute free "Diamond Factory Tour" of Coster. We assumed we would get to see a cutting/polishing demo but, in fact, we were just told about the 4 C's, taken to a safe room to see some examples of various grades of diamonds and then directed to the shop and the entrance to the museum for which you pay a charge. We felt it was all a big a waste of time and just designed to whet the appetite of customers who were trying to build up the courage to splash the dosh. For us, it was a disappointment
