One of the highlights of our time in Amsterdam! - What a fabulous way to spend an afternoon in Amsterdam! Our tour with Michael was so informative and so much fun! Michael held our interest the whole time talking about not only cheese but some interesting history as we toured the various cheese shops . The highlight of the day was the wine & cheese tasting at the end of the tour . Will be recommending this tour to everyone I know !

A Great Cheese Experience in Amsterdam - My wife and I recently went on the Cheese and Wine Tasting Tour in Amsterdam with Michael. Spending three hours with Michael learning about Dutch cheeses, buying the cheeses, and finally eating the cheeses was one of the highlights of our trip. Michael is extremely knowledgeable about cheeses and transmits this information in a very energetic and entertaining fashion. We began the tour with a trip through Noordermarkt at the Saturday market. Michael knows all the cheese vendors and purchases the delicious cheeses that you get to sample. You may purchase cheese at the market for your own use or come back at a later time. Micheal provides all the cheese for the tastings. We then go to a delightful nearby wine cellar to eat the cheese paired with several excellent Dutch produced wines. We sampled about seven cheeses, all very different and delicious. You can have as much cheese as you want. I had no idea that it would be so much fun learning about cheese all afternoon. When the tour ends you are welcome to stay on and enjoy another glass of wine. Alternatively, as we chose to do, there is a great coffee and pastry shop just above the wine cellar where you can enjoy some great treats. I highly recommend this tour for anyone who enjoys eating cheese.

Such as great tour with such a cheese expert!! - This was one of the highlights of our trip to Amsterdam. Michael is such a charismatic and skilled cheese master. His passion for cheese was evident from the start. He gave such a broad based and deep history of cheese both in Amsterdam but also in Europe in general. His locations for cheese shops were mostly where the locals would go, and he avoided the tourist traps. I highly recommend this tour to anyone that does or even doesn't know they have a taste for cheese. He really opened our minds to all the cheese options out there that we never would have had the understanding of or willingness to try. If I could give it 6 stars I would!!!

Incredibly fun, informative, & intertaining! Yummy cheese too!! - This was such a fun experience! Michael KNOWS his cheese and is passionate about sharing his knowledge. We met at a predetermined location and walked to a local mart to purchase some cheese for our tasting. We then walked to an adorable wine store to do our cheese tasting. We were provided with plenty of water in addition to a glass of red and a glass of white wine (to match with the cheese we were sampling). I learned a LOT about cheese and was willing to taste a cheese that I hate in the US (goat cheese). To my surprise, I didn't hate the goat cheese he chose for our tasting. The rest of the cheeses were delicious. We also met some other fabulous people from Canada and Ireland. After the tasting, Michael invited us to visit a local pub with him. We all went and had a great time there. I really can't recommend highly enough this tour! So glad my friend found this tour for us to take in Amsterdam! :-)

Favourite Amsterdam Experience - Probably my favourite activity I did during my time in Amsterdam! I would recommend this to anyone. Michael was super friendly and happy to answer questions about cheese in general, as well as the specific cheeses we enjoyed during this tour. He is super knowledgeable and presents things in a really approachable, down to earth way. Truly a wonderful way to spend an afternoon, and see some cool bits of Amsterdam that are a bit off the “typical tourist” beaten path. Would be great for solo, couple, or group travellers.

Every day is a school day - Met up with Mike after not seeing him for a few years as I knew him from Zurich. I knew he was passionate about cheese as he had. A cheese shop in Zurich so I thought his tour was worth a whirl and what an incredible and amazing experience it was. Learned a lot from this and got to see parts of Amsterdam that I didn’t really know existed. Was absolutely recommend this tour to anyone interested in cheese, wine and culture. Absolutely fantastic afternoon. Thanks Mike

Cheese and craft beer experience - What a great tour learning about cheese and discovering parts of Amsterdam with a very knowledgeable guide. Michael took us to a few cheese shops to learn what to look for, what to buy and not to buy. We ended at a brewery to sample craft beers, paired with the cheeses we had chosen. We are older, and not great walkers, but Michael stayed with us, giving rest periods when needed, and we made it thru. It was a great experience and we learned much. We highly recommend this tour, if you enjoy cheese, wine, beer or just seeing parts of Amsterdam you would typically miss.

An amazing cheese and wine walking tour in Amsterdam! - Mike took us through Noordemarket, introduced us to several delicious cheeses from different vendors. We tasted some samples, walked to a speak easy wine shop. There we sat down and Mike taught us so much about all cheeses he bought at the market. We had a real treat tasting them all and learning along the way with delicious local Dutch wines.

Don’t hesitate…this is one of the best tours in Amsterdam! - We learned so much about some delicious cheeses that we normally would not have known to try. The walk also shared some unique insights into Amsterdam. Could recommend this highly enough.
