• World Heritage Kinderdijk - The day begins with a visit to the remarkable UNESCO World Heritage site, the Kinderdijk windmills. For centuries, a network of windmills and pumps has been effectively draining water from the polder soil into the river. This ingenious system, which has evolved over time, showcases the harmonious blend of human ingenuity, technology, and nature, keeping the land dry for over 700 years! Visitors can marvel at the 19 original windmills set in their breathtaking historical surroundings. Step inside a working mill to learn about the millers’ personal stories, or enjoy a cruise for a spectacular view from the water!
• Delft - Delft’s charming canals, gables, and towers offer a truly picturesque setting. Although smaller than Amsterdam, it is equally beautiful and, importantly, less crowded with tourists. Delft is renowned for its world-famous Delft Blue pottery, and a visit to the factory, where the exquisite pottery is crafted, is included. Afterward, there is time to explore the city center independently or with the guidance of our experienced guide, according to your preference. Discover the renowned churches and marketplace, home to Vermeer. As this is your day out, the tour can be customized to suit your desires. There will also be time for lunch in Delft.

On our intimate group excursion, we’ll explore the stunning vistas and historical landmarks of Kinderdijk and Delft. Our expert tour guides, Eva and Sarah, are not only proficient drivers but also fantastic hosts!

We’ll start off at the Kinderdijk UNESCO World Heritage site, known for its 19 windmills that have been preventing floods for centuries! The tour includes a boat trip and inspecting the mills and pumping station.

Next up, we travel to the charming city of Delft, renowned for the Royal Delft Blue porcelain factory! Our exploration of the town encompasses its canals and distinctive houses, which includes the ‘new’ and the ‘old’ churches housing the resting places of William of Orange and various other royalties. We’ll have lunchtime around the market square and renowned city hall.

Before we return to Amsterdam, we pay a visit to the Royal Delft porcelain factory and the main store, leaving ample time for you to shop for elegant souvenirs!
