All encompassing! - All encompassing and fascinating. If you only have a day or want to concentrate your museum day, this one works. Our guide, Eduardo, was knowledgeable and easy to follow through the vast opportunities of both museums. Then to relax with a canal tour at the end of the day made it great.

Great day at the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh - Visited Amsterdam for four days and the time spent at the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh were the highlight. Ali was super knowledgeable, easy to understand and ask questions, would love to take another tour with Ali if I were in Amsterdam again. The included canal cruise was not as exciting (no Ali), but still fun to see Amsterdam from a different perspective.

Great day! - Timm was so knowledgeable and fun. We truly enjoyed our time with her learning about the paintings, artists and history of the Netherlands. What a great way to spend the day. The canal cruise was a perfect end.

Great experience - Ali's knowledge/enthusiasm is truly infectious. As our tour guide, Ali demonstrated exceptional skill in orchestrating the flow of illustrations. Navigating through the vast Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum can be overwhelming, but Ali masterfully utilized the artworks to weave a captivating and coherent narrative. Our tour was both entertaining and educational, particularly when Ali brought the story of Van Gogh to life. Highly recommended!

Very knowledgeable guide, however, long winded and repetitive - The guide was good, but rather long-winded ... so we were unable to see the entire Van Gogh museum. He was very knowledgeable ... but ended up talking with people who were not part of the tour.

Poor start strong finish - We were late by a few minutes and missed a third of the 3 events This problem was caused by our inability to open messages which promised details including a better description of the meeting place which caused our late arrival by at least several minutes in a pouring rain. The meeting place must be identified much more clearly. The fact that we could not access detailed instructions made our locating tasks too difficult. We explained this to the walker who accompanied us when we hooked up for the remaining 2/3 of the days events. We would like to compliment Holly for a job well done and making a salvage of the poor start I suggest a partial refund for event 1 perhaps 50pct of the normal cost of Ruks museum tour We have generally been quite happy with Viatar and sorry about this unfortunate event We made several suggestions to holly in which she concurred and said she would pass them up the line Bruce Michels

Terrible experience soured our trip to Amsterdam - We paid for this tour for two people ($400+) and weren't able to join despite spending a lot of time trying. Yes we were five min late to the meeting place because we'd gone to the museum entrance by mistake. However, there was zero communication between the Walks tour company and guide, one does not know what the other is doing. We called the Walks 4 times throughout the day trying to meet up, the first time we connected was at 9:07am. Walks was entirely unhelpful. We asked how we can catch up to them. the tour rep said she couldn't get in touch. We told the Walks reps on the phone we were going to try to meet them inside the Van Gogh Museum on two separate calls (because the tour description indicated going to the Van Gogh in the morning), and we were not informed that the tour went to the Riksmuseum instead. The Van Gogh staff tried to help us locate our tour but Walks tour was not listed as a group tour for that day. Furthermore, the guide did not meet us at the appointed location as per Walks tour operator after lunch for the second museum. We found her by sheer luck. She was defensive when we ask her about the meeting places, change in itinerary, and lack of tour registration. We had to purchase museum tickets for both museums again. More upsetting was that we spent over an hour on the phone and running around trying to meet up with a tour instead of enjoying one of our three full days we have in Amsterdam. We splurged on a small group tour for the personalized attention, instead we got the run around. There were only a few families, some with children, on this tour (we met up with them after lunch and everyone knew we were missing in the morning). The guide knew we weren't there and went ahead with the tour without waiting a few min or call the office to find out what happened. Other tours we went to on had amazing guides who made sure everyone was there before starting. We were informed we did not provide the necessary 24 hour cancellation notice to get a refund. Obviously, it wasn't our intention to cancel. So this is a warning. Don't expect the tour to know the itinerary and don't expect any accommodations if you are late.
