  With the ferry to Amsterdam Noord, through the idyllic suburbs to the nature reserve Het Twiske, over the dikes to the museum village of Zaanse Schans.

Here you have time to look around at your leisure: to visit windmills, to buy souvenirs in the numerous shops or to experience traditional handicrafts.
After about 1.5 hours we make our way back to Amsterdam.

If you wish, you can of course extend your stay in the museum village, e.g. to eat out or visit the museum, and then drive back to Amsterdam on your own.

This can also be done by train. I will be happy to give you the necessary information on site.

Join us on a diverse and eventful cycling journey spanning across the characteristic landscapes of North Holland up to the windmills at the Zaanse Schans, a snapshot of Holland from yesteryears, complete with a storybook museum town, picturesque windmills and time-honored trades. The expedition commences in Amsterdam, followed by a ferry ride to the NDSM shipyard’s location. From this point, you’ll continue onwards through quaint garden towns to the ‘Het Twiske’ nature reserve. The route includes cycling along dikes, traversing pastoral regions, and proceeding to the Zaanse Schans. Allow the rural allure of Holland to enchant you! You can dictate how your day unfolds: pay a visit to a museum or chocolate factory, saunter through the charming ‘old Holland’ with its customary crafts, or delight in a gourmet meal at a restaurant. Note, you’ll need to arrange your transportation back! You can return as preferred, by bus and train, ferry, or bicycle.
