• Portage Glacier - The tour arrives in Portage Valley, making stops at Explorer Glacier, Middle Glacier, and Byron Glacier, before boarding the M/V Ptarmigan for an hour-long cruise on Portage Lake. This cruise offers views of multiple surrounding glaciers and majestic landscapes, with a primary focus on getting within a few hundred yards of the face of Portage Glacier!

Begin your journey with a pickup from your accommodation by one of the finest tour guides in Alaska. Your first taste of Alaska’s beauty will be the stunning drive along the Seward Highway and Turnagain Arm, with a few pit-stops at Beluga Point and Bird Point for sightseeing. Upon reaching the Portage Valley, our itinerary includes stops at Explorer Glacier, Middle Glacier and a spectacular one-hour cruise on Portage Lake on the M/V Ptarmigan. This cruise allows you to admire the glaciers nearby and dramatic landscapes, with Portage Glacier as the main sight. Following the cruise, there is an optional lunch break before we move on to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center.
