Great Intro to Anchorage - Our guide Donna was awesome! We learned a lot and it was a great introduction to some of the highlights of the city. All the samples were delicious! We even saw a moose along the road.

Meh - Tour is mostly a shopping spree, which I wanted. But I also hoped for some sightseeing which was lacking in quality.

Off to a bad start - The whole tour started out bad when the tour guide was rude to our friends and could not admit she was wrong about the seats and where people needed to sit. Very disrespectful to a client. That set off the trip because we almost decided not to go. While she was informative it seemed more like the info was about her life and she took us to places that meant the most to her not so much about things in Anchorage. We did enjoy trying the reindeer sausage and smoked salmon, but that felt a little rushed. The chocolate tasting was fun, and we did learn about the Alaskan knife the Ulu.. Two different stops she almost left a couple if we had not said something. Some better people skills might need to be learned.

First Impressions matter - Upon arriving at the pickup spot, Donna was rude. She told my friend that she didn’t need to see the ticket confirmation and as he explained kinda batted his phone away). We were a few minutes behind them. When we arrived we realized there were 13 seats in the back.. Donna proceeded to insist there were 14 seats (not including the front passenger seat). I kept trying to explain there were only 13 & someone would need to ride up front. Finally after multiple attempts to explain, she realized she was wrong & the front passenger seat would need to be used. She then told my husband that he would be allowed to sit there, but he could not ask questions or speak (as she didn’t want to be distracted). She had many opportunities to pull us aside & apologize for how rude she was to us…but never did. Things to note….there are binoculars in the shuttle for use (she just never pointed them out - we figured it out on our own). Bring your own drinks (none are provided). Despite being told there would be restrooms about an hour into the tour, there were none for use (until we arrived at the Wild Berry place). Eat before you go as the samples are small. Donna was very knowledgeable about Alaska & you could tell she loves to talk about herself. This would have been a 4* if she hadn’t been so rude at the beginning of the tour.

Nope. Never again. - Mostly drove around. Only had a few minutes at each place. I would definitely not go on this tour or guide services. Was given bad advice about drinking glacier water. Our tour guide is not knowledgeable about what diseases can be in the water. I would suggest if you drank any water from the glacier on this tour. Check with your medical provider if you get sick within the next few days.
