- Greatland Adventures - The aurora borealis is one of the most amazing natural wonders this world has to offer. Join us on a quest to view and photograph the northern lights in and around the Anchorage area. We will use our luxury tour vehicle as a base camp as well as a state of the art portable winter shelter complete with heater, chairs, hot drinks and snacks. We use modern technology to forecast both the space and earth weather each night. The tour only operates on nights that have a reasonable expectation for the lights to be visible. While we cannot guarantee you will see the aurora, if we do operate the tour we have over a 90% success rate of seeing the northern lights. You only pay if we operate the tour. This tour is designed for anyone who has viewing the northern lights on their bucket list including both sightseers and serious photographers. Aurora photography instruction as well as Aurora portraits are provided. Tours generally depart at 9 pm and return at 3 am.

No aurora but great experience - Dana and trainee Tim were professional. Stephen was helpful ensuring I got the right fit for the gear rental (recommended for those who don't normally deal with snow/cold weather). We ultimately did not see the lights, but I still captured some great night sky shots. The tour guides were informative, accommodating, and tried their hardest to find the best locations. My lesson learned is not to book a day trip in Anchorage because mother nature can be unpredictable. I look forward to booking this trip again with more time!

Aurora Tour - Wonderful experience with a knowledgeable guide. Despite cloudy weather, he was able to find us a great location for viewing. We even stopped on the way home because the Aurora had started back up. Thank you Jacob for an amazing experience and wonderful pictures!! Bucket list item checked.

Well organised and incredible adventure! - Incredible experience, great guide, and well structured adventure. We luckily had a clear night and would stop every now and then to glimpse the Aurora’s. Highly recommend this activity!

Awesome experience to see Northern Lights! - Our driver/guide Matt was awesome! We miss a similar tour 2 days before due to weather conditions, but fortunate enough to find availability in this tour for the day before we were leaving Anchorage without being sure if we will get to see the lights at all!
Guess what? Our tour and guides managed to get us all to a point with a clear sky and amazing Northern Lights! Very cold up there tough!
We could take amazing photos with our phones, however we recommend anyone doing this to get a professional camera and flash to get photos more amazing! With no external flash your phone photos will show lights but persons in black silhouettes.
Matt and other guides bring professional cameras and will take very good and amazing pictures of you and your group, which they will share in web quality for free, and a buy option for higher quality!
Also note, lights may not be seen with the naked eye, and most of the times no color,
Totally worth it! We recommend this tour to whoever wants to see the northern lights!

Alaska is Amazing! Don't miss it! - Our 11 days in Alaska and Canada via land and a cruise were GREAT! We loved the six days we had on land and the eight on the inside passage north to south from Seward to Vancouver. We got a great deal on Radiance of The Seas and it was better than I hoped. The room was small and the ship had some age on it but we had a balcony and enjoyed every minute as we cruised south in amazement at God's unbelievable and big, make that really big nature show of mountains, forests and glaciers. Just amazing! The Radiance staff was very, very friendly; the food was very good and the entertainment enjoyable. Vancouver was also amazing. It's a modern city of 2.6 million people in the greater Vancouver area and everyone we met was very friendly. It was super easy to get around and a Lyft and Uber to get around with never a wait over 10 minutes. The city has the look and feel of being news. The huge glass skyscrapers were magnificent. Our one night we could get a seating at Le Crocodile in VC was over the top for great wines, food and service. So great!!! Then why did I not give the trip five stars? Our reason for spending 3 days in Anchorage was to be able to give my lovely wife Ann the chance to see the Northern Lights - her top "bucket list litem." Sadly, though we got up every night looking from midnight to 3AM we never saw anything. Everybody we talked to said the same thing; sometimes you just don't get to see them. I was sad she did not click that one off our list. Otherwise, the trip was 5 Stars! Larry
