  • Anchorage - Departing from Anchorage, you’ll discover how the city evolved from a tent settlement along Ship Creek to become Alaska’s largest city.
  • Musk Ox Farm - This non-profit farm is dedicated to the once-endangered Ice Age mammal. During your guided tour, you’ll learn all about these majestic creatures as you explore the pastures that over seventy Musk Oxen call home. Before you leave, visit the gift shop to see products made from Qiviut, the underfur of the Musk Ox, which is considered the finest wool in the world.
  • Palmer - You’ll have free time to explore the town of Palmer. Delve into the town’s history and learn how it was shaped by the New Deal in an effort to introduce farming to Alaska. Enjoy a meal made with local meats and vegetables or shop for locally made products.

Departing from Anchorage, enjoy the scenic journey to Palmer, as you learn about the rich history of Anchorage and the Matanuska Colony project. First stop will be at the Musk Ox farm. On this guided tour, you will learn all about these majestic animals, as you tour the pastors that over seventy Musk Ox call home. Next, head to downtown Palmer to explore this quaint town on your own. After, we will head to the Reindeer farm. There, you will be able to get up and close and possibly hand-feed the wide variety of Alaskan animals they have.

Afterwards we will head back to Anchorage.
