AWCC takes in injured and orphaned animals year-round and provides them with spacious enclosures and quality animal care. Most of the animals that arrive at the AWCC become permanent residents and will always have a home here. The Center maintains over 200 acres of spacious habitats for animals to feel at home and display their natural “wild” behavior. At the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, you will see a sanctuary for ailing and orphaned creatures, and have the opportunity to watch large animals such as caribou, bison, and elk. While lunch isn’t included, you have the option to buy food at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center. As the journey continues, venture through the Chugach Mountains, culminating the guided, intimate group tour with pick up and drop off in Anchorage.
