Overall a wonderful experience at Seashell Activity Center - We had booked two activities at The Habitat Institute Activity Center - Marine Trail and Snorkeling. Our experience with the team was amazing right from enquiry to the actual experience of these activities. Anurag also suggested the sequence in which we should take these activities. On day 1, we went for a marine trail which is around 2hrs activity and it started at 4.30pm. In marine trail you get to explore the tidepools which are exposed during low tides and the naturalist will guide you through entire trail with information on the marine life in these tidepools. On day 2, we went for snorkeling in the morning. This activity also lasts for around 2hrs and it started at 9.30am. It was our first Snorkeling experience and the team made sure we are comfortable with the gears and guided us well. The day 1 marine trail helped us with the information on coastal ecosystem and this was useful when we started exploring the marine life in deeper water during snorkeling. Overall our experience with the Activity Center was satisfactory and I would definitely recommend it to other visitors. We had planned for birding at Kalapatthar too but couldn't go for it due to time constraints.

TWILIGHT MARINE TRAIL - We opted to go on the twilight marine trail with the Habitat Institute. It was an incredible experience as we set out on low tide at twilight. It was a very special trek as we explored the shore in the dark - there were corals and other sea creatures below and a beautiful starry sky above. Our guide was Sangik - a very knowledgable and enthusiastic Marine Biologist who is very passionate about his subject. He kept it exciting throughout with his explanation and even let us touch some of the creatures that we came across. All in all, a very enjoyable experience. Don't be afraid to get your feet wet! It's absolutely worth it. Highly recommended.

Unforgettable experience - It was an amazing activity. Once in a lifetime opportunity as it was low tide the day we checked in. The Marine Biologist who led us was so well informed and explained everything in detail. Very informative activity.

Fascinating walk through coral neighborhoods at low tide. Highly recommend! - This was a fascinating walk through the shore at low tide. We saw squid, sea slugs, a puffer fish, starfish, clams, and much more. Shangik was extremely knowledgeable and his passion for marine biology rubbed off on us quickly! Highly recommend spending a couple hours on this unconventional beach tour

In Havelock? Dont miss this. - We were in contact with the team for one week and finalised the date for Marine Trails. One of the best decisions we have made in this trip. We got to know the diversity intertidal zones holds and importance of oceans in our lives. Not just for food and fun but even for the air we breathe. We were surprised by the level of camouflage we can find in nature. And the marine biologist (yes, we will be guided by a marine biologist) did a very great job in helping us understand the life over there in a fun and interesting way. And he is so passionate about the work he does. In the short 2 hour walk, we saw the following and knew about something about - Hermit crab Sea slug Fidler crab Oyster Salilyte foot crab Pygmi squid Sea weed, sea grass Sea cucumber Naked gill snail (kleptoplasty)- ring sap sucking sea slug Snake sea cucumber Sea sponge Spinder conj. Loly fish cucumber Tedibear crab Brittle star arm Bobbit worm Honeycomb coral Cone snail Boring Sea Urchin Christmas tree clamp Box crab Snapping shrip Carpet anemone Trust me and hands down, one of the best things to do in Havelock..!!

A great and unique evening stroll - It was easy to find the meeting point as it was in the seashell resort in. They gave us a light to navigate throughout the tour because it started at 6 PM and sunset is around 5 PM in January on this island. We got a nice introduction about mangroves how they work what they are. The two guides were very passionate about marine life, biodiversity, and sea life preservation. We saw a lot of different species, and the tour was very interactive. A cool plus is the fact that some corals light up in UV light and we got to witness this too. I also appreciated the fact that they lent us some bug spray. Overall it was a very unique and nice experience.
