Highlights

Arrive in the Community of Viacha: Lifestyle

Pisac - Check-in: 15:00 hours.

Upon arrival, Mr. Vicitacion and his family will warmly welcome you! Set up your glamping tent, then visit the family’s charming “cuy” (Guinea pig) farm to see how these adorable rodents are raised and fed. Head to the family’s organic farm, which features a variety of seasonal crops including potatoes, broad beans, quinoa, and herbs such as chamomile and Andean mint. Mr. Vicitacion will gladly show you all the products and demonstrate how he uses traditional instruments for growing and harvesting.

Next, explore the Puka Kancha archaeological sites or the prehistoric paintings, both about 20 minutes away, with a family member as your guide. If you’re interested in traditional cooking methods, feel free to visit the kitchen to see how dinner is prepared using mud stoves.

Finally, enjoy a night of glamping and sleep under the stars.

Day 2: Departure

Pisac - Wake up and feel the magic of the place, and enjoy a traditional Andean breakfast with the family. Depending on the weather, you can ask the family to serve it inside your tent or outside to take in the breathtaking views.

Mrs. Bertha will be delighted to show you her textiles and provide a short demonstration of the weaving process. Take photos with the family and local animals like alpacas, llamas, and sheep. Finally, bid farewell to the family and continue to your next destination.

Optionally, hike down to the viewpoint of the Pisac sites, capture unique photos from there, and proceed to the archaeological sites and Pisac town.
