Highly recommended by a solo traveler woman - Jose, my tour guide, was one of the most wonderful and educated people I’ve ever met. The connection with nature that I experienced was exactly what I was looking for, the food was great and the attention was impeccable. The days I spent here could be the best days of my life. As a female solo traveler it was very important for me to feel comfortable at all times and I felt like I was with family all along. I highly recommend this tour, it was life changing.

Experience the Andes in a simple and unforgettable way - If you want to experience the Andes in a pure and adventurous way, this trip is the one for you. You will ride over mountains, see different landscapes, eat delicious food next to a bonfire, sleep under the milky way and spend a lot of time away from civilization. José and Leandro made us feel comfortable from the first moment and shared a lot of knowledge about horses and the life in the Andes. They are fun people but still will give you your space to enjoy the slow rythm and calmness of nature. Don't miss this opportunity!

Surpassed Expectations - We booked this tour hoping for a not-super-touristy, authentic experience and it was even better than we could’ve imagined. We were guided by the owner or the ranch himself, who shared his passion for the land and his family’s history. We were also lucky to be joined by his young son who was a fantastic guide, teacher of all things horses, and a great laugh. We were spoiled with the food, including fresh squeezed orange juice for breakfast, wine chilled in the creek at every meal, and an incredible asado the last night. Jose works very hard to ensure a great experience and tailored the trip to what we were looking for, we got many hours of riding in incredible scenery. Even Claudia, the woman who drove us from Mendoza and back, was incredibly friendly and helpful.

Go for it! - Jose, his family and community are a group of kind, caring and passionate individuals and you can go on this expedition without a single doubt. I had questions beforehand, and Jose, even though the signal is very low in the ranch, was fast, responsive and reassuring. Indeed, there is not much information about the journey, but it is because the final expedition is decided according to your riding experience and expectations. During the trip, you feel like you are in first class even though you are in the middle of nature and the Andes. Fresh orange juices, scrambled eggs over the fire after a night under the stars, what else is there to say ? Thank you so much to Jose, Esteban and their family for this amazing experience. If I’m back, I will 100% call you and organize something longer than three days, it’s only the beginning :)

An incomparable trip of a lifetime. - From start to finish, Jose and his team were friendly, communicative, and ready to make our experience as memorable and easy going as possible. We were reached out to on Whatsapp to confirm our pickup and then were driven to the ranch where Jose had a delicious meal prepared for us at his home, which was accompanied by a local bottle of wine. After eating and discussing our prefrences for our three day trip, Jose and his team got the horses ready while we relaxed by the scenic river on his property. Each day we rode for about two hour increments with meals prepared by Jose inbetween. All of the food was nutritious, authentic, tasty, and filling. In the evening, Jose prepared our sleeping arrangements on the range; on pads and sleeping bags either in a tent or under the stars, depending on our preference. The scenery, company, and overall experience of the entire trip exceeded our expectations, and I am ready to fly back to do a longer trip with Rancho El Rosario. Thank you to everyone who was involved in making this experience possible! All the best - Emily, Olivia, and Greg

This tour is a no-pressure, relaxed and enjoyable trip, I cannot recommend this enough - I cannot put into words how amazing this trip made me feel, hopefully, some photos and video will show you! This was where I slowed down to the pace of the Gaucho, and where I have the best night’s sleep ever, just to add it was open air and under the stars. Rancho El Rosario is in a beautiful location at the foot of the Andes in the Uco Valley, or Valle de Uco. . The Uco Valley is widely considered one of the top wine regions in Mendoza, and all of Argentina. It is truly worth a few days on horseback to explore some of the Andes. The ranch sits on a modest 87,000 acres of unspoilt nature. There are 25 well-trained horses, 100 cattle, dogs, cats, chickens and more. All roam freely grazing on the property. José, the host, a third-generation ranch operator is a natural horseman, his quiet nature is reflected in the many animals surrounding the ranch, the moment you arrive you feel peace and tranquillity. . Once you immerse yourself into the remote foothills of the Andes, the breathtaking scenery opens up, I enjoyed a Gaucho asado, some overnight camping under the stars, and most importantly, safe and fun horse riding, I truly felt great! This tour is a no-pressure, relaxed and enjoyable trip, I cannot recommend this enough, I was asked what I wanted, and what I needed and was always kept safe. I will remember this forever. The short 2-hour drive south from Mendoza in the air-conditioned private car was excellent, the little Italian setting by a gorgeous river for lunch under the shade of a willow tree was perfect, and plenty of great food for breakfast lunch and dinner, accompanied by plenty of local Malbec. 5 stars, a must-do!

Unforgettable experience - a horse lovers dream come true - This is where your dreams come true! A horse lovers haven in a beautiful location at the foot of the Andes. The ranch is situated by the Rosario river in a shaded enclosure with 25 beautiful and well trained horses. José is the perfect host - such a kind man, attentive to your needs at all times, a caring and gifted horseman. This really is a trip into the remote foothills of the Andes, stunning scenery, authentic asado, overnight camping, and most importantly great horse trekking. I can’t recommend this enough for the authenticity of the whole experience. You will have memories for life! Thank you to José and the whole team around him for the most amazing experience that I will never forget. Other plus points - excellent transfer to and from Mendoza, Stunning river side setting for lunch under the shade of a willow tree, great food for breakfast lunch and dinner, accompanied by plenty of local Malbec.

The most incredible experience! - This was one of the most incredible experiences of my life. Daniel (my guide) and I horse trekked for 3 days and two nights. We cooked all meals over a campfire, slept under the stars, saw a flock of wild Limas, drunk cleaned and washed from the mountain streams, climbed to the top of mountains where there were the most beautiful views of the snow capped mountains behind us, galloped in Pampas grass and dined at a typical Estancion on the way back. Daniel was the most professional, kindest and competent guide and as a solo female I felt extremely comfortable with him. He was also a fantastic Gaucho and really took care of the horses as well. It was fantastic and I would highly recommend it!

Unique gaucho experience in the andine cordillera - I had a wonderful 3 day horse riding trip in the cordillera with José, the owner of the ranch, and a friend of his. 3 days immersed in the wild, with stunning views and a feeling of being propelled in a timeless world. José does everything to make the experience comfortable and enjoyable : he’s an incredible cook and the meals cooked everyday on a wood fire were amazing ! We even had grilled trout just fished out of a mountain creek ! The horses are very mild, well trained and well cared of. The experience is possible even without previous riding experience, provided you’re in good physical shape.
