Highlights
- Monte Brasil - We will visit Monte Brasil, passing by the volcano’s crater, reaching the viewpoint to Angra Do Heroísmo city, from where we can witness the history flowing through the city!
- Salga Bay - We will drive by Baía da Salga, where we had a historical fight with the spanish, who built the fortress we have visited in Monte Brasil
- Imperio do Espirito Santo de Sao Sebastiao - On this village we will visit one of the oldest churches of the island, as well as an Império, a little chapel dedicated to the Holy Spirit, one of the highlights of our culture
- Serra do Cume Viewpoint - Here we will witness the biggest Caldeira (structure of a collapsed volcano) of the Azores, with only two ridges left, each separated by 7 km!
- Algar do Carvao - Optional, depends on the date/time of the tour. Please, see the schedule here (http://www.montanheiros.com/algarcarvao/).
It is an empty volcano, of its kind only 3 exist, the visit is acessible, with stairs all the way (no elevator). We will visit the structure, witnessing rare formations such as stalactites formed by silica.

Embark on a tranquil 3-hour tour of the island, where culture meets stunning landscapes. We’ll maximize our time exploring Monte Brasil, the island’s only peninsula, Goat Islet, a submerged volcano, São Sebastião, the initial settlement upon the island, and Serra do Cume, a remnant ridge of Azores’ largest caldera. Optionally, we can also visit Algar do Carvão, schedule permitting.

Peaceful Islanders - Beautiful island. Loved the cows. Cows everywhere! Stepping back into a much quieter but lovely place. Bus driver took us thru some very tight roads.

Great way to see the island!!!! - Catarina was the best!
I started my trip with flight delays. I was able to switch my pick up to the airport on short notice, and the company was great about it.
Catarina met me at the airport and gave me a tour of the island. I felt like I was able to see so much during our tour (from scenic overlooks to cheese tasting to Algar do Carvão).
Catarina was so nice, really loved the island, and was able to teach and show me so much. It was a great way to start the trip. I highly recommend!

Wonderful Tour of Terceira with Ricardo - We had a most enjoyable & relaxing Guided Tour with Ricardo. He met us at our Cruise ship and drove us throughout the area, stopping at many gorgeous sights, and sharing with us the History and Culture of this beautiful island, including some personal history. Our small 3 person group included a former Terceira Resident of 60+ years ago, and the conversations with Ricardo were the best - we all learned something! We went to a small café where we had delicious local pastries & coffees! This is a great Tour that should not be missed by anyone visiting Terceira, and request Roberto as your guide!

Great customer service! - We were traveling as a group of 6 on the Carnival Pride transatlantic passage. We had booked our tour well in advance and looked forward to the tour. However, due to rough seas and high winds, our captain made the hard decision to not attempt entering the narrow inlet putting safety first. We texted the tour company to let them know of the decision and requested a refund. The company was very gracious and understood the situation and our funds were refunded quickly.

I highly recommend Spot Tours!! The whole team is incredibly professional and kind, proactive and helped me massively with booking a private guided tour for my parents. Azores Get Away - This was an amazing day! Our tour guide Marina is very personable okand knowledgeable about the island. She was more than willing to stop on the side of the road to allow us to take pictures. If you don't do anything else in Terceira, make sure you take the volcano tour. I was able to walk over an active volcano, go through a lava tube, and see the beauty of a lake at the bottom of a volcano. I cannot stress how informative and stunning this tour was. Do yourself a favor and book it with Azores Travel!
