Here, you will learn about the culture and basic contents of Korean traditional alcohol of two kinds of fermented rice wine called “takju(cloudy rice wine that is an original form of makgeolli)” and “yakju(cleared rice wine).” Then you can discover how to make soju from the distillation of yakju. This experience, inclusive of meals and beverages, will acquaint you with premium Korean alcohols such as Soju(distilled spirit), Takju(raw form of Makgeolli), and Yakju(rice-wine), produced by this local brewmaster. Gain insights into the comprehensive process of converting rice to Soju and Takju(Makgeolli) and embark on an authentic journey through Korean alcoholic traditions, as you traverse this concealed brewery known only to genuine locals.
The duration of this tour, spanning 2.5 to 3 hours, brings you face to face with master craftsmen who preserve age-old brewing and distilling techniques. This is followed by tasting sessions and a genuine homemade Korean meal, accompanied by servings of Makgeolli.
This tour encapsulates Korean Traditional Hospitality by providing a personal touch to the experience. Visitors are catered to with home-cooked meals and a home-brewing session.
