Lovely Food and demonstration - Sharmilla and Rajreajashree were excellent hosts who demonstrated the techniques and skills required to prepare and cook traditional dishes. They also encouraged participation by all.

Cook with the locals - The simple easy menu, the interaction with the chef and the opportunity to actually cut, cook, fry and put together an entire tasty vegetarian meal was an enjoyable experience. This is a 101 class for beginners. If you would like to learn a non-vegetarian menu then you need to communicate this to the organisers.

One of our favourite experiences - Project Três recently started with their cooking classes so they don't have many reviews yet, but I'm so glad I stuck with my guts and sent them a text on WhatsApp! They were super effecient and helpful from start, and even took special requests for the food. The two ladies were smiling and beaming the whole time, we felt super comfortable. But more importantly, the food was DELICIOUS! Making our own spiced coconut paste from fresh coconut for one of the curries was so cool, you get insight of the whole process behind India's delicious dishes. Super recommend!

Amazing experience cooking with the women of Project Tres! - My friends and I had a wonderful evening learning new cooking skills and connecting with the women of this organization! We made 4 vegetarian dishes (we requested vegetarian), rice and chapati that were all local Goan dishes. All were delicious! We were able to ask questions and make little notes so we will be able to cook these dishes for our friends and family back at home. Project Tres is an amazing organization working to empower women. If you are looking for a unique and local cooking experience while knowing your money is going to a worthy cause - this is it!

Amazing experience to learn from local ladies!! - We had a phenomenal evening with the ladies of Project Tres! They clearly explained, demonstrated and had us participating in preparing a Goan vegetarian feast (of chickpea coconut gravy curry, Dahl, curried potatoes, curried veggies, rice, and bread) . It felt like a true team effort creating the meal together and we learned loads about how the food is prepared and cooked. From cracking and grating fresh coconut, to slicing and dicing new vegetables using tools we weren’t familiar with, to combining all of the ingredients and spices with expert efficiency it was remarkable to see the meal come together. Beyond the cooking, it was also an amazing experience to spend time in the women’s centre and witness the power of community among the women who stopped by throughout the evening, to say hello, stay for a chat and share their stories. It was a huge highlight of our trip to get to meet and connect with women in this way, thank you for a night to remember and we look forward to trying the recipes at home!

Back to Basics - I was expecting a "village style " cooking to be held in the open with firewood fire! it was otherwise , never the less, an experience to be remembered! Sharmila was briming with excitement from the moment she met us. Took the effort to explain all the ingredients and and its substitutes too. She made us participate in every step of the entire process. That was the best part of the whole exercise where I learnt the nitty gritty stuff of making 'poori". In the little space she had she made sure she adhered to cleanliness and hygiene. Though the dishes were not new nor exotic, her simple method of cooking with care and love and chatter made them turn out to be sumptuous. Wishing Sharmila all the best with more such projects

Insight into Indian home life. - This was a very enjoyable, hands-on experience. A taster of Goan home life and cuisine. The ladies we saw could not have been more welcoming. A history of the project was explained and the ladies individual stories. The food we made was very good and adjusted to our taste - not everyone likes it too spicy. Do take some extra money though as items made by the project are brought out at the end.

Never again - I booked the cooking class via viator and got a confirmation. I waited infront of this „Monkey Bar“ for 50 minutes. No nice place, very drunken people who told me I should go away immediately. Nobody came to pick me up, nobody answered to my messages (unfortunately I had no money left on my Indian phone). I lost an afternoon otherwise I could look for an alternative. I don’t know if they are fakes or cheaters but take care!
