Urfa has been occupied since the Babylonians followed by the Hurrites, Hittites, Assyrians, Greeks. We will visit Urfa Archaeological Museum and Aleppo Bahce Mosaic Museum. These museums exhibits a huge collection, founded from Harran and Gobeklitepe Area.Then, walk through the local covered bazaar of Sanliurfa and through the town to discover the many hidden treasures.
Reji Kilisesi - Reji Church, one of the historical and cultural riches of Şanlıurfa, offers its visitors an unforgettable experience. The structure was erected in 1861 on the ruins of a 6th-century church. Church, Hz. Since it was built in memory of Jesus’ two apostles, it bears their names. The building was actively used until 1924, when the Assyrians from Urfa migrated to Aleppo (Syria). St. Peter and St. Paul Church was used by the Tekel administration in 1924, first as a tobacco factory and then as a grape warehouse, thus functioning outside its intended purpose. The church was named “Regie Church” by the people, after Regie, which is the French word for Tekel. The inscribed tombstones removed from the church are exhibited in the Urfa Museum. Reji Church is among the places that attract the attention of people from both religions and must be visited during their visit to Şanlıurfa.

Balikligol - You will visit Abraham’s cave, the birthplace of the prophet Abraham, and the Pool of Prophet Abraham which is believed to be the place where Prophet Abraham was thrown into the fire by Nimrod.

KIzIlkoyun Nekropolu - Kızılkoyun Caves, one of the historical and cultural riches of Şanlıurfa, offer an unforgettable experience to its visitors. The region where Kızılkoyun Caves are located dates back to approximately 2 thousand years, dating back to the Roman and Byzantine periods. The place used during the Edessa Kingdom are the rock tombs with members of the royal family. In the Kızılkoyun Necropolis, there are 2 Roman Era statues and a limestone sarcophagus inside the rock tombs. In the studies carried out, the 1.85 meter tall statues were found in A.D. 3-4. Roman Era soldier statues dating back to the 11th century are displayed on a single-piece base, depicted in oriental clothes and adorned with military equipment.
They have a similar style in terms of the method and style of their construction and are made of limestone, the characteristic stone of the region. Since Kızılkoyun Caves is a place that attracts the attention of many people, it has started to host many visitors recently.
Harran Kalesi - Harran Castle, located in the southeast of the city, consists of two parts: “Inner Castle” and “Lower Wall”. The Inner Castle was built adjacent to the city wall. It will have a rectangular plan and have dodecagonal towers at its corners. The castle, measuring 90 meters by 130 meters, was built with three floors. There is a Sabian temple on the site of the castle. Umayyad Caliph II. The palace, which Mervan had built by spending 10 million dirhams of gold, formed the present form of the castle. Researchers claim that there were 50 corridors and 150 rooms inside the castle. The walls surrounding the city and forming the “outer castle” planned in a circular shape are 4 kilometers long and 5 meters high. The height of the towers of the castle varies between 15-17 meters. The castle has six gates named Aleppo, Raqqa, Aslanli, Mosul, Baghdad and Anatolia and opens to the outside through these gates. Today, only the Aleppo Gate is standing.
Sanliurfa - After the last stop of our tour, our vehicle will take you to Sanliurfa airport. You will return to Istanbul by plane at 20:30.
