Symi is lovely watch the ferry’s! - We went to Symi for one night which was lovely, plenty of friendly restaurants and bars and nice shops.
The only thing I would advise is check on your return which side your ferry is leaving from, as we didn’t and thought it would be one side and after asking a bar worker we found out it was the other side, due to bad weather, we were 30 yards from the ferry and it pulled away, we had to wait 4 1/2 hours for the next one! Check in the tourist ferry shop that opens till 22.00hrs or bar staff who have contacts who will tell them.
