Humantay Lake - Our journey kicks off at the crack of dawn, with our crew collecting you from your accommodation at 4:00 AM, embarking on a three-hour drive to the quaint village of Mollepata. There, a scrumptious breakfast awaits us. We then proceed for another hour to the Soraypampa local community. Upon arrival, we’ll receive a brief orientation and gear up, setting off on our trek to Humantay Lake. We’ll traverse breathtaking scenery, flanked by the majestic Salkantay and Humantay mountains. The hike to the lake spans approximately 1.5 hours and is of low to moderate difficulty. The effort pays off magnificently upon reaching the stunning lake. At the lagoon, there’s ample opportunity to capture photos and make offerings to the Apus.
After a period of leisure and recuperation, we’ll head back down to Soraypampa, a descent that takes around 1.5 hours and is noticeably less challenging than the ascent. Once in Soraypampa, we’ll continue to Mollepata for a well-earned buffet lunch following some downtime. Finally, we’ll journey back to Cusco, with an estimated arrival time of 5 PM.
