Fantastic Tour with Orpenna Worldwide Travel Agency - We had a great time exploring the city with Ali as our guide, learning about the rich history and culture. Despite her quick pace, we managed to keep up and soak in all the information she shared. Orpenna Global Travel Agency definitely provided us with the best discounted tour experience we could have asked for.

Good relaxing trip - We booked this trip through trip advisor due to the hotel rep and the excursion rep in town trying to charge us a lot more money for the same trip. We also used a sister app which I believe is also run by trip advisor called “Viator” which can be downloaded in the App Store. Save yourself some cash by using either trip advisor or Viator to book your excursions, as the reps are obviously trying to cash in too. The night before the trip I received a WhatsApp message to inform me of our pickup time, the correspondence was good and they were polite. The mini bus arrived promptly to pick us up from the reception area of our hotel, the bus was nice, well maintained but leg room is tight if you’re quite tall. We picked others up on the way to the harbour and our destination was reached within 30mins. We arrived at the boat and had to go through another boat to get onto our one, the boat consisted of two levels, level one for shade and level two for sun and partial shade. Both levels had ample seating for the amount of people on our trip and it was oversubscribed and overcrowded. We set off on time and heading out into the main ocean boat lanes, the main lane took us past the large hotels along Lara beach and we were able to take in the amazing views of how the different hotels looked. We were then given the opportunity to swim in the sea for about 20-25 minutes, I think this was to allow for all the other boats to go past us to the other destinations, it did seem quite busy out on the water. After this swim we made our way to the area of lower Dundan where we could see the waterfalls in the distance. We then arrived at a cove and the captain guided the ship into the cove, people on the front of the boat were then able to experience the water from one of the waterfalls coming down on them. This was an excellent experience and something that really made the trip special. We then left this area and made our way back to the main waterfall sight, Wow! Is all I can say about this, I’ve never seen a waterfall before and is was absolutely beautiful. The bottom staff then came round and offered us for extra money a trip in a speed boat that went into the waterfall, I’m not sure how much they were charging as this isn’t something we wanted to do. We then stopped just down from the waterfall and were able to have another swim with the waterfall in the back drop. Lunch was then served, this was part of the ticket price, along with free Coca Cola, sprite and coffee. Lunch consisted of spaghetti in a tomato sauce, with salad and bbq grilled chicken pieces, this was nice and although wasn’t that filling it was enough to keep you going. Back on the boat and after lunch was complete we started to head back to the harbour. I would recommend this trip, for the price and the length of time you’re out for the day, I think we were out for about 5 hours in total and it was a rather relaxing trip. The staff on the boat were nice and spoke English which helped, chilled out music was played and the music wasn’t so loud that you couldn’t talk. For the three of us I think we paid £30 a head, which was reasonable considering the reps were charging a lot more. When we got back to the harbour the bus was waiting to take us back to the hotel and all went as smooth as it could.
