Parc National de l’Andringitra - Tour a workshop that produces “Anteimoro paper,” a parchment made from plant fibers;
On Wednesdays, you can attend the “zebus market,” the second largest in Madagascar, featuring 2000 heads for sale each week;
Head to Andringitra Park;
Travel 46 km on a red trail to reach the park entrance;
Interact with the local Betsileo villagers who have preserved their ethnic traditions;
A 4-hour hike (600m elevation gain) to the campsite at the cliff’s base, at an altitude of 2,050m. Enjoy panoramic views of the cliff and the Riandahy and Riambavy waterfalls;
ANDRIAMPOTSY – ANTARANOMBY
Parc National de l’Andringitra - A 2 to 3-hour hike to ascend Pic Boby (2658m), offering stunning views, followed by a 2-hour descent;
A 4-hour trek across the plateau at the cliff’s base, at an altitude of 2,000m, exploring the unique landscape and descending the cliff’s west side through a palm forest;
Admire another breathtaking view;
Overnight camping near a natural swimming pool in Lantaranomby (at 1,600m altitude).

TSARANORO VALLEY VISIT
TSARANORO VALLEY – RANOHIRA 25 km of track + 211 km on the RN7 +/- 5h
Isalo National Park - Continue the journey to Ranohira, a quaint village at the base of the Isalo massif;
Travel through the Horombe plateau;
Arrive in Ranohira and check into the hotel;
In the late afternoon, experience a memorable sunset at the Isalo window, a highlight of Madagascar’s Far West;
Within the massif, marvel at the unique rock formations of Isalo.
VISIT ISALO NATIONAL PARK
Isalo National Park - Located south of Fianarantsoa, Isalo National Park spans 81,540 ha;
Home to several endemic and highly protected species, including 14 types of diurnal and nocturnal lemurs;
The park also hosts 77 species of birds, reptiles, amphibians, carnivores, insectivores, and rodents;
Over 400 plant species, most of which are endemic to Madagascar, thrive here;
The Isalo savannah features fire-resistant palm trees unique to the region: “Satrana” or “bismarkia nobilis”;
Visit the maki canyon to possibly see ring-tailed makis and sifakas;
Walk the ridge path for views over Isalo, visit the Nymphe waterfall, and explore natural swimming pools with clear water;
Swimming is available for those interested.
