Highlights
  • Devil’s Bridge - The Devil’s Bridge is a stunning example of sea-water erosion. Geologically, it is a natural arch sculpted by the sea from both soft and hard limestone ledges of the Antigua formation, a geological feature of the flat northeastern part of Antigua.
  • Dow’s Hill Interpretation Centre - This center features multimedia exhibits on the island’s history, from its indigenous inhabitants to British colonialism and the present day. The view from Dow’s Hill offers a commanding perspective of English Harbour and the island’s southern coastline.
  • The Blockhouse - Situated hundreds of feet above sea level, this spot provides an excellent vantage point to view the rest of the island. In one direction, you can see Indian Creek, once home to Antigua’s first peoples. Turn around, and you’ll catch a glimpse of the luxurious Antiguan residence of musician Eric Clapton. Fantastic photo opportunities await you here!
  • Shirley Heights - Located at the southernmost tip of Antigua, The Lookout, part of the Shirley Heights Lookout military complex, offers a breathtaking view over the entirety of English Harbour. Dating back to the 17th century, this historical site is believed to have been constructed by the British military, who controlled Antigua at the time. A perfect spot for photos!
  • Nelson’s Dockyard - Nelson’s Dockyard is the largest of Antigua’s National Parks and continues to function as a working dockyard for numerous yachts and ships. Fully restored to its original grandeur, the 18th- and 19th-century buildings of the Dockyard now house modern amenities such as shops, hotels, and marina businesses.
  • Fig Tree Drive - Fig Tree Drive winds through a lush area of Antigua, passing rainforests and massive banana trees (referred to as figs by locals). Roadside vendors sell local fruits, so be sure to stop and ask for some mango or black pineapple. Along the way, you will also pass by ziplines and a few beaches at the end!
  • Darkwood Beach - Darkwood boasts some of the most vibrant seas and white beaches on the island, set against a backdrop of hills and tropical forests. The views are both panoramic and spectacular, and on a clear day, you can see Montserrat. As one of the longest stretches of beach, there is ample space to enjoy the scenery. With warm, inviting waters lapping against pristine sands, there are plenty of reasons to visit!

The best way to see the island - We really enjoyed our tour, we learned and saw so much. Our tour guide, George, was not only incredibly knowledgeable but kind. He answered all of our questions about Antigua and really made us feel at home. He also made sure to point out things he thought we would find interesting which we really appreciated. We particularly loved visiting Shirley Heights and Nelson's Dockyard in English Harbor. Antigua truly is a gorgeous island and anyone who wants to visit the island should take this tour.

Cricket tour - We were very lucky to have George as our driver. So with 4 of us including him, it felt like he was already a friend who knew the area and had the knowledge of cricket too. So we thank him for his time and efforts which were on their own First Class. I absolutely guarantee you will have a an amazing time seeing the sights and more of this beautiful island.Despite having seen most before I was more than happy to see again. Thank you to to your company who accommodated our needs too

A grand day out with Lionel - The trip seemed pricey. However, having done the day trip, it was excellent value for money. Our guide, Lionel, was great - friendly with a good sense of humour. We went to Devil’s Bridge, Shirley Heights, a view of Eric Clapton’s house, a 15 minute film about Antigua’s history and then lunch at Nelson’s dockyard. The scenery was stunning throughout and the commentary from Lionel was informed and interesting. All in all, a great tour and a memorable souvenir of Antigua. Highly recommended.
