Orange valley tour - The tour was very fun and informative! The tour guides were engaging and easy to get along with. The bikes were in great shape. The orange valley tour takes you to several breathtaking Antiguan beaches and then to a farm area where they discuss the local agriculture. The farm grows a lot of different fruits and veggies. They then take you on a hike and while it is uphill straight, it takes you to overlook the beautiful coastline for spectacular views. Highly recommend!

Great Ride! Great Experience! - The tour was excellent. It was a great way to see the island outside of our Sandals resort. Riding the E-bike allowed me to work as much as I wanted. The pedal assist was needed in some spots. The guide was very knowledgeable and I learned a lot about the island. Transport to and from the resort was great too as I was provided the opportunity to see even more of the island. It was a great experience from start to finish. I highly recommend.

A great way to get to know this amazing island - While staying at Sandals Grande Antigua I looked for an opportunity to do some pedaling and found BestoEPV’s E-bike tours on the approved list of Sandals affiliated off-resort excursions. I enthusiastically signed up my wife and me for an off-resort E-Bike tour (there was no option for a conventional bicycle tour, so I figured e-bikes were the next best thing). Our driver fetched us around 8:45 on the morning of the tour (she was a half hour late) and we arrived at a beach on the southern side of the island at about 9:15 where we met Jay, our main tour guide and the tour company owner, and his able assistant Akela. As Jay matched us each with a fat-tired E-bike I have to say that I was a little concerned about the apparent lack of conventional bicycle maintenance, what with the rusty chains, the drive trains being stuck in the highest gears, making it impossible to peddle from a standstill or up a decent incline without electrical assistance, and the fact that my bike’s battery died five minutes into the trip. (Jay offered me his bike to use but the quick release on his seat post wouldn’t hold the seat in place, so Akela gave me her bike, she took Jay’s, and Jay rode mine without power until he was able to raise the truck driver on radio to come and deliver a working bike.) Meanwhile, as I let go of my prior expectations, I began to enjoy the frequent stops and extensive information delivered by each of our guides. We traversed beaches with the morning tide lapping at our tires, half paved roads with muddy water filled potholes that could swallow a mini cooper, and meadow trails whose magma-formed irregular surfaces made for jarring and rattling ascents and descents. We learned about the local flora and fauna, sampled fruity drinks and drinkable fruits that tasted like the tropics incarnate (local raspberry, sour sop, guava, & coconut), and got poured on periodically as rain clouds passed over us. Knowing that we’re avid cyclists, our guides went out of their way to take the extra time and lead us up a more challenging trail for some beautiful vistas and unique plant life. They also led a quick hike for my wife, a seasoned hiker, up to a beautiful view of the sea before we hopped on the bikes again to cycle back to where we had started from about two and a half hours earlier. It wasn’t just the fascinating information our capable guides imparted that made this tour so special, but also their obvious pride in their home and the people, plants, and animals that inhabit it with them. They were passionate advocates for this beautiful island paradise, and my wife and I considered ourselves lucky to have seen Antigua through their eyes.

Not recommended - Despite the good intent of the guide, the tour only lasted 5km’s (instead of the promised 2h30). There was one mountainbike short and a bike that had a flat tire from the start. Not worth its money at all!
