Fantastic way to spend the day!!! - The Antigua Foodie Tour is a perfect way to explore the tastes and culture of the city. Our host Jamila was an exceptional guide as we walked our way around different places to dine and explore foods like a local. From the rooftop terrace of our first stop to the different shops, winding our way to local favorites complete with a speakeasy. Then a walk through the park for our next destination of some incredible tacos! Our next stop found us in a garden patio enjoying more local dishes with a Peruvian and Guatemala flair. Then a stop for a refreshing smoothie. The finale took us to a yummy ice cream shop known as Glacy…..for a delectable ice cream treat topped with amazing toasted marshmallow fluff! I was in heaven! We’ve been coming to Antigua for the last 20 years and it’s always a great way to spend the day exploring new places! We definitely recommend doing the Antigua Foodie Tour! You won’t be disappointed and you certainly won’t leave hungry! Thank you Jamila for such a fantastic time!

Delicious and fun! - We really enjoyed our guide, Jamilla, on our recent Antigua Foodie Tour. She took us to a fantastic variety of restaurants with delicious selections to sample. At each stop, she told us the story of the restaurant from why they prepared the kind of food they do to how they got started and developed their business. You can tell she loves Antigua and its restaurant seen. We came home stuffed! We highly recommend this Antigua experience. If you have several days in Antigua, do this first - you will learn of lots of great eateries to return later in your stay!

10/10 - We love, love, loved this tour! Jamellah, our tour guide, was so personable and so passionate about the spots we went to that we couldn’t help but enjoy every second of the tour. We went to 7 gorgeous spots around the city, ranging from tacos, to juices, to ice cream. We walked away full of some incredible food, but also some really interesting stories about how these restaurants and eateries came to be. What I found especially insightful was hearing about how the pandemic impacted the restaurant business in Antigua. 10/10! Do yourself a big favor and book this tour!

Amazing tour and great food with a great host. - The tour guide was amazing and knowledgeable. They even give you a list of restaurants that they recommend and restaurants that you visited when you’re done. The your guide themselves is an amazing and helpful person who gave me and my wife so many helpful tips about Antigua. I would suggest starting out any trip to Antigua with this tour as it helps get the lay of the land and can answer questions you might have. 10/10

Best Food Tour Ever!!! - What an experience we had from start to finish, it far exceeded our expectations. Shamila was the best. She brought us a little harness for our water bottle and even had umbrellas for us. We went to so many amazing places, I lost count. We were educated about the food and the locations. We highly recommend you take this tour and don't plan on eating dinner. Be sure and ask for Shamila (spelling). She was the best.

Just ok - Our guide was not a native. She was from California and not even fluent in Spanish. The locations were great and some of the food was very nice, but some of it was just average.

Average tour - It was ok. The tour guide wasn’t very knowledgeable. Not too impressed. Maybe a different guide would’ve been better

You can do your own research - I got this food tour as a gift to my significant other. I think there are definitely pros and cons. The pros are that you are shown 7 good spots in Antigua that have great eats/locations. The cons is the price. With a little online research you can definitely discover these places yourself. A lot of them if not all of them that we went to were all restaurants by expats in the community (sometimes it was a local). I did feel taken by the end of the tour in terms of the money I spent vs my return. Our tour guide was sweet and knowledgeable. however for us the price is not worth it.

My trip was cancelled and I NEVER got my money back - I got my partner a gift card to book a tour for his birthday in July because we were traveling to Guatemala. We booked it and then unfortunately had to cancel the trip for unexpected reasons. I cancelled the booking 11 days in advance thinking I was going to get a full reimbursement (as stated in their policy). They told me it wasn't possible because it was bought with a gift card, so after explaining that I do not live in the country or know anyone there, they agreed to do a 70% reimbursement to the same card used to buy the gift card (which was mine). Then they said it couldn't be done to the card so they asked for a Venmo account and I gave it to them. THEY NEVER DID THE REIMBURSEMENT!! This was such a long process because I cancelled the trip before July and after every email I sent, the replies were around 2 weeks later and many times I had to send double emails because they just wouldn't reply at all. Again, this process started in JUNE and I was told about the Venmo situation in AUGUST 30TH. Still, I emailed several times until mid OCTOBER asking if the transfer had been done and if I could get a screenshot of it because I NEVER GOT THE MONEY. AND THEY JUST STOPPED REPLYING COMPLETELY!! It was such a shame because it seems like the tour is actually great but the communication was horrible and they just kept my money (200 USD because I booked it for both my partner and I). I was stolen and would NOT recommend to buy anything from them beforehand if you're traveling from a different country, and probably just not buying anything from them AT ALL.
