Gwrardo was great and he... - Gwrardo was great and he knows his facts! We learned so much and saw so much! We were hungry so he recommended us a place to grab a bite and patiently waited on us to finish. Highly recommend!

Enjoying viewing Fuego Volcano Eruption, Colonial Antiqua’s churches, arches, plaza, and a large mermaids fountain - It is a beautiful December Thursday morning, we joined a Colonial Antiqua shore excursion of our Cruise Lines. Antigua is a famous ancient city in Guatemala, Central America. It was founded in the Panchoy Valley, close to the peaks of the Agua and Fuego volcanoes. Our bus tour guide wanted us to watch Fuego volcano eruption. Our first stop of tour was the cathedral church of San Jose. We took a handful pictures through the Arches. Then we walked to a Plaza with a large fountain of mermaids. Having gone through the “Arco de Santa Catalina”, we arrived “Iglesia de La Merced” that is a beautiful 18th century church with yellow facade. While walking to visit a jade museum, we noticed an unusual seen vertical sundial. Finally we had our lunch in Arrin Cuan Antigua. In summary, this is a wonderful informative cultural tour.

Best walking tour in Antigua - Gerardo is very knowledgeable and was a wonderful guide. He let me practice my Spanish by doing most of the tour in Spanish which was great. I could have walked around to see these things but there's no way I would have got the rich stories and history that were shared. If you are going to Antigua, I highly suggest this tour.

Thank you, Gerardo! - I can't emphasize enough how amazing Gerardo was as a tour guide. I learned so much about Antigua's history. Traveling solo in Guatemala, Gerardo gave me fantastic recommendations that made my trip smoother and more fun. I was already in love with Guatemala, but meeting people like Gerardo made me love it even more. Thank you a million times.

Perfect start in Antigua with the best city guide I ever had - The city tour with Gerardo was excellent. . He met me on time and asked about my particular interests. He is very knowledgeable and has a structured way of giving information. As he learned that I don’t need too many details an churches, he took the time we saved to help me organize my time in Antigua, which was so helpful. It was the perfect welcome in Antigua. We came up with the idea of visiting his village and family one day, which I did! Gerardo is a very friendly, helpful and reliable guide, who has a lot of interesting things to tell you about his beautiful country, so book a tour with him, get an excellent overview of Antigua and have a great time!

Gerardo is the Best Tour Guide Guy - We had a fantastic tour of Antigua and learned everything about the history and culture. Gerardo was very accommodating to our changing schedules due to flight delays. He showed us all the glorious cathedrals and explained their history. He also gave us tips on the best places to shop, eat, exchange currency, and use restrooms. I only regret that I didn’t include him in our photos because in those 3 hours, he treated us like family. I highly recommend Gerardo for your Antigua tour.

Maybe there are better options worth trying. - 1) Guide (Gerrardo) speaks minimal English. 2) Many other guides offer FREE tours (working on tips), spending $25 here may not be worth. 3) Guide didn't follow on his own instructions to meeting place and time. I had to get help from someone to reach out to him. 4) Tour description says it's 3 hour tour but guide told me initially it's just 2 hours, I had to insist on 3 hours 5) Guide is knowledgeable but gets annoyed with little things (and doesn't realize he didn't understand the question/intention of customer). A bit rude at times in responses. 6) Guide isn't bad but I'd have liked more friendliness and commitment and a bit of humility.
