Such an incredible trip! - Let me first start off by saying that this is a long car trip, so if you aren’t ready for a 10+ hour roadtrip, this might not be the trip for you! However, if you are more than willing to go on a roadtrip to see the BEAUTIFUL Antigua, it is 10000% worth it! We are so happy that we were able to book a trip to Antigua, Guatemala. This trip was nothing short of amazing. Our tour guide Gaby was incredible, and she was the best! On our way to Guatemala we were able to see one of the most active volcanoes in Central America, and that was such an incredible experience. Once we were in Guatemala, we connected with the kindest and most knowledgeable tour guide, and truly got to experience the beauty and rich history and culture of Antigua! We loved it here and we cannot wait to return!

A great day trip from San Salvador - This was a wonderful experience! The drive was long, but on the way our guide, Josué, shared facts about Central American culture, history, economics, and ecology. Along the way, he chatted and answered any questions we had. The border crossing was smooth. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE LITTLE BLUE VISA PAPER FROM THE AIRPORT! When you re-enter El Salvador, the border guard will want to see that again. Antigua Guatemala is lovely and so charming. Our group enjoyed learning and walking around the town.

Amazing day trip! - Amazing day trip! Our guides and driver were really welcoming and very informative. We definitely appreciated the time they allowed us to sleep in the early morning. It took about 4.5 hrs to get from San Salvador to Antigua, the bus was clean and comfortable, and we were able to exchange money at the border. Antigua was better than we even expected, such a beautiful city with interesting history. We definitely want to come back and explore Guatemala more!

A day in old Antigua - Osmaro picked us up from our hotel in a comfortable Toyota van at 0430. He was our driver, guide & photographer at times. He was familiar with the route every step of the way. He told us about El Salvador's history until we reached the border. He assisted us there too. All we needed were our passports. We didn't have to pay for a visa. Later, when we returned to El Salvador, we didn't have to pay the $12 visa fee again. In Antigua, we were introduced to William who guided us around the old city. We saw a couple of churches, the National Palace, the Plaza, the colorful market where we bought souvenirs and stopped for coffee. We also had lunch with Osmaro then walked to the chocolate museum/store with William. We tasted their products & purchased some. We enjoyed the cultural sights and wonders of Old Antigua. The drive back was uneventful. The tour took about 13-14 hours.

Guatemala was beautiful - The trip was fabulous! Alejandro (Josue don't know how to spell it) was the best ever. The guide in Guatemala was excellent. Beautiful country. The drive back was long due to a bad accident but we sang and talked and it went by faster!! Go on this tour if you can! El Fuego even burped smoke on our way out@

Operator canceled last minute - very disappointed - I booked a trip long time in advance on specific date. Before the tour date I asked if the tour is confirmed. Just a day before I was informed they are not planning to have a tour on specific date (proposed alternatives). BTW do not understand as I was charged extra premium when I indicated I am a solo traveler. Super disappointing experience. (BTW it is super convenient to fly from San Salvador in the morning and come back on evening flight.). On the airport you have shuttle buses to Antigua for USD20 or you can pay ca 40 for UBER. The city is very small so you can independently see it in 3h. Antigua I highly recommend
