The Plaza Central Park - The Plaza Mayor is the starting point to visit all of Antigua Guatemala, planned in 1541.
It was in 1541 when, using the square and the compass, the engineer Don Juan Bautista Antonelli carried out the project by arranging the city by line in a reticulated urban organization.
The blocks were distributed from a central square where the main buildings were to be located: town hall, cathedral, shops and others. The measure of the square is 112 meters from north to south and 115 meters from east to west (138 rods from east to west and 134 from north to south).
The angles of the square are composed: To the north, by the portal of Chains and the Palace of the Noble City Hall, to the east by the Episcopal Palace and the Cathedral of Santiago, to the south by the Royal Palace, to the west by the Merchants Portal or Panaderas, in the center is the source of the Sirens, built in 1739 by Diego de Porres.
The square currently has five Esquisúchil trees that were planted around 1994.

A great tour of the history and culture of Antigua - We had a great guide who was very friendly and knowledgeable. He was a local and spoke good English. We learned a lot about the history of Antigua Guatemala, the country and its people. A great tour and we were accommodated on short notice. Highly recommend!

Best walking tour in Antigua. - I had a fantastic tour with Felix who was immensely knowledgeable and kind. I have taken many walking tours in many cities around the world but this was the best. We had to take a break due to a heavy rain shower so he went over time so that we could finish. I learned a lot about the history of Antigua, Guatemala, and Central America. Highly recommended!!!

First class - Hector helped us out while we were in Guatemala for two weeks. He was a great help, being reliable and flexible and able to help us with changes at short notice ; an essential part of our needs. Great City Great Tour - We went to see multiple points of interest in the Center of Antigua Guatemala. Our Guide gave us huge junks of historical Information. In my personal opinion it was even too detailed sometimes. The only 'problem' of our tour was, that we had Spanish and English speaking people with us. So the guide needed to tell us the same information twice. I would try to avoid that next time. Overall he still managed to do that very well. The trip to the jade museum was very interesting but they try to sell you stuff in there, which is fine but be aware of that.
