The best little farm in Antigua! - This tour was a great overall experience. We took our 2 kids (age 16 & 11) both said it was a 10 out of 10. We liked that it was close to the city (about 15 mins by car), it was hands on, interactive, and we were able to ask a ton of questions. It combined food and learning what’s not to love. The guide Maykol was patient, he had a passion for what he was doing and it showed. He got our kids involved in the demonstrations, got them to try coffee and avocados neither of which they would have tried back at home. The coffee, avocados and honey were delicious, the tortillas we made were also very good. It was the best tour we did on our trip to Antigua Guatemala and we would recommend to everyone.

A Must Do Activity - This tour is a must do!! You learn so much about agriculture and what it takes to grow, pick, roast, grind, and brew coffee. In addition, we really enjoyed learning about avocados and honey! This is a very well done tour and everyone is so nice! Elisa is the cutest little helper out there! We can’t forget about Bingo too!

Fantastic educational experience about sustainability - This tour made me want to quit my job and open an organic farm. Maykel was incredibly engaging and knowledgeable about sustainability. The kids (11 and 13) got to roast coffee beans and grind them. We learned about compost processes and avocado trees. After learning about the avocados, we learned how to make tortillas with Sara and ate delicious avocado tacos. Would highly recommend this tour as an educational experience. Excuse me while I go build my chicken coop :)

Fairytale organic farm on a hill near Antigua - If you are interested in organic farming and want to be both stunned and inspired, then this is the place for you. Set on a hillside near Antigua, Maykol has taken his degree in agricultural education, left the corporate world, and set up a life to change the world through teaching and inspiration. All so he can also spend time with his four year old daughter, who I am told, helps give tours. He was recently interviewed on a you tube channel that got over two million views within a few days. I have toured organic farms before and he has really put it all together. I saw worm composting, kitchen scraps used to feed maggots to feed chickens (no it didn’t smell and no flies were buzzing around). I saw other forms of composting that worked beautifully (I will be watching the educational youtube channel he plans to start). There were bees, ducks and duck eggs, chickens and eggs, and avocado trees heavy with fruit. Maykol demonstrates how the worm tea feeds the roots of his avocado trees. We sniffed compost like it was a fine wine. He makes coffee and you can see the beans growing on the trees. My friend and I tasted lemon grass we picked from his large, thriving plant. I think this is a fun place to go for anyone and little kids are going to love it. It just feels good to be there.

A Taste of a Different Way of Life - We had a terrific time! It’s truly a window into a different way of living. Maykol is an eloquent and knowledgeable guide to the art and science of how he runs his sustainable, organic farm. (Yes, it’s his farm!) The experience of roasting the coffee was really fun, and we also got to learn how to hand-make tortillas and guacamole and enjoy honey made on the farm! Highly recommended.

Enjoy the nature with local people, without tourism - Highly recommended! It was a wonderful, organized and private experience. The farm is a family owned business, and the owner and host Micheal, he will introduce you all the amazing activities in this green farm. The whole experience was full of joy and so much fun. We roasted our own coffee beans, and then grounded them and made great coffee. Then a sweet lady Sarah touch us how to make tortilla. You can't find this tortilla workshop in an open kitchen anywhere else! It is not a tourism activity at all, it is a great opportunity to talk with locals, and enjoy the nature! 十分推荐给想要避开商业化旅游活动的小伙伴们!

Delightful Organic Farm Tour - I took this tour as a solo traveler. This was probably the best tour I have ever taken! Michael is passionate about the farm and his work and it is very inspiring. He taught me a lot about coffee, fertilizers, food and bees. I made tortillas with Sarah and ate them with his Avocados. These were the best avocado I have ever tasted. The were buttery with a rich taste. You should consider this tour if supporting local families is important to you and if you are interested in understanding where food and coffee comes from and how it should be made. It is a short drive from Antigua and 100 percent worth it.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND - You get your moneys worth and even more! I loved how personal the tour was and can’t recommend doing this enough. I usually dislike black coffee, but this coffee was so good without anything added. The corn tortillas and avocados were the best that I have ever tasted, and I’ll never find a tortilla that taste as good. Definitely recommend doing this if you’re a foodie!
