Great experience highly recommend - This was an incredible experience with absolutely amazing guides who were very helpful, thoughtful, and just generally speaking great people. I highly recommend against picking a large group. Our group had 8 people, 2 guides, and provided good hiking gear for you to rent, making this the perfect experience. We saw huge tour groups that went on forever and ever struggling with wooden sticks for trekking poles while huffing and puffing. Everything was good and our guides timed the rests perfectly.

Volcano Prince Guide - Benjamin is everything one could ever want in a tour guide!! He can match anyone’s hiking pace and knows everything about the volcanos. He was patient and funny, and he speaks superb English. he also made us a delicious dinner and breakfast. Our experience was exponentially boosted because he was our tour guide—would recommend him to anyone. Also Sometimes his gold teeth glint in the sun and make him look like a Guatemalan volcano prince. We love Benjamin!!!

Amazing experience you won’t forget!! - Amazing once in a lifetime experience! This was the most challenging thing I have ever done but I’m so happy I continued through with it. My friend and I were the slowest of groups but we made it up and our tour guide was amazing. He chatted with us at night while making us dinner, hot cocoa, and watching the volcano eruption. A couple things I was confused on before going was the meeting spot, you do have to meet at the meeting spot by the time given, they do not pick you up at your hostel. You also should only carry 1, 2 liter bottle starting out. It was too much weight to carry more and you can buy water 2/3 times on the way up so bring extra cash for that and the entrance fees! You can also borrow any equipment for a fee, they have everything you need! P.S. buy altitude sickness meds!! It really was the only thing that helped me with feeling sick and being so high up I don’t know if I could have done it without it. Amazing experience!!!

Best tour guide ever - We had the best time on our hike! Our tour guide Willy was amazing, he was super communicative and honest about how intense the hike is, but kept up the vibes all the way up! We had a couple of people in our group who struggled, and he was great with helping them out. Could not recommend enough, experience of a lifetime :)

Cool trip with a small group - A once-in-a-lifetime experience and a must do when you are in Guatemala! The operator has only small groups (around 8 people) compared to the other operators we met on the track. Unfortunately, the communication upfront was not really good. We had to inform ourself about all the stuff we needed to bring and it was unclear if it would be possible to rent stuff from them - but it was as soon as you arrive to the base close to the volcano. The guides were really cool and had a lot of funny stories to tell at the bonfire at night. I can only recommend this tour and operator!

Craziest Physical Experience with the Greatest Guides and People - Willie was the best guide any of us could ask for as well as Jimon (apologies for botching the spelling of his name) they cared about each one of us and made sure we were constantly okay making a difficult trek such as this. I couldnt have asked for a better experience. It was a great group and we all got along great sharing stories and laughing all day and night. It was a difficult hike made more enjoyable by Willie and Jimon with delicious food and constant fun. Be sure to pack extra warm clothes and maybe a heat pack for the sleeping bag and breathe when things get tough. The guides will do everything in their power to make sure you are okay! With Willie everything is possible because he creates the best experience!

Don't bother - Let's start with the good: the guide was great, everything ran on time and we had great views of the volcano. The bad: once we got to the top the cabins were not set up to accommodate guests. One was completely full of garbage. We had to clear them out ourselves to be able to sleep for the night. On top of this, the company promised me a partial refund because of this inconvenience, but it has now been two months and they have stopped replying to my messages, and I'm yet to receive my refund. Save yourself the trouble and just book elsewhere.
