Great experience - The Guide was great, the view is amazing, the hike goes well! No doubt about it! The return was longer than expected due to traffic so I advise to bring snacks. But in general it was a very nice experience!

Fantastic morning hike - This was a brilliant trip. Luis was a fantastic guide. He shared lots of interesting information about the volcano and local history and culture. We really appreciated that he allowed us to set the pace - we didn’t feel rushed and he was happy for us to take breaks. We didn’t want to take the horses or walking sticks and we felt no pressure from him. It is quite steep at the start and end of the hike up, but that leg takes about two hours so it’s not too bad at all. Our driver Mirko was great too - he explained the history of the volcanos on our way there, and was an expert at navigating windy and bumpy roads. We set off at 8 from the hotel and started hiking around 9. We were finished around 12, and had a bit of traffic on the way back so were at the hotel by 1.45.

Not as steep as you might imagine, well worth the view! - The climb was easier than I expected and the overall experience of hiking in a small group, together with the view was really fun!

Pacaya on horseback. - It was a fun ride up on a horse, walking around seeing the views up top and a quick ride down. I would recommend a horse for 200 Quetzales each way rather than walking up rocky slippery incline. We saw the sunset which was very beautiful and a unique experience, & roasted marshmallows in the heated ground.

Check of bucket list - What an amazing experience…. Everything was great, our driver Oscar was funny knowledgeable and experienced guide. The whole experience was memorable, I would definitely recommend a taxi “horse” if you’re not an avid hiker or athletic. The hike can get very steep and long if walking it. The taxi is well worth the money to get you up and down with out stress and able to enjoy the beautiful views. I would recommend this company to anyone.

Fantastic Pacaya volcano. - Henry RamĂrez picked me up early in the morning and from there we headed to the base of the volcano where Luis Quezada was waiting. The climb was fantastic, Luis, a very patient guide, I think it took me longer than other people, and he was very tolerant. It was wonderful to get as far as we are allowed. We stayed up for a while, I marveled at the landscape! Luis helped me a lot on the way down and I thanked him. Excellent experience!

Amazing Pacaya - I was lucky to be almost the only 1 hiking Pacaya and had a wonderful guide (Luis) who went at an appropriate pace. He frequently checked how I was doing and if I needed a break. Luis clearly cares about his job and is passionate about Pacaya which added to my experience. The hike is definitely medium difficulty but doable. I was offered stocks by children at the bottom and horses but never do it was intrusive - everyone was polite and friendly (just trying to earn a living). The views all the way up are incredible- I highly recommend!

Forgotten Hiker - After waiting for the shuttle for 1 hr past my scheduled pick up time, I managed to get a hold of the team. They had not "written down to pick me up from my hostel". I received a full refund but wasted valuable time that I could have been having breakfast with friends or exploring Antigua. Very frustrating to say the least.
