- Giant Antigoon severed hand statue - According to legend, the giant Druon Antigoon terrorized the city of Antwerp by demanding a toll from those wishing to cross the River Scheldt.
Those who refused to pay had their hands severed by the giant. The hero Brabo eventually defeated Antigoon by cutting off his hand and throwing it into the river.
