His body of work has been inspiring artists and art enthusiasts worldwide for four centuries. Much of his work was created in this house, located in the heart of Antwerp.
- Het Steen - The Steen is closely linked to the origin of Antwerp. It is the last visible remnant of the walled fortress that defined the city’s appearance for centuries.
- Antwerp City Hall - The city hall in Antwerp was built in the 16th century. It’s where important political decisions for Antwerp are made. The architect, Cornelis Floris de Vriendt, combined old-style design with new ideas from Italy. In 1936, the building was declared a special place by UNESCO because of its historical importance.

Good alternative to a tour with a city guide - Very comprehensive tour of Antwerp.
We visited parts of the city that we would not have seen otherwise.
Unfortunately, various points of interest were not or no longer accessible.
