Perfect guide & tour for the sightseeing’s in Adurandapura. - Lampa’s tour is the best activity to do in Anduradaphura. Frist of all, Lampa’s English is really good. He tells great stories about the city, it’s history, and about buddhism. We went for a full day, starting in Andurahapura and finishing in Minthale. We could easily communicate about the pick-up place and the things we wanted to see during our tour. I highly recommend Lampa’s tour.

Thank you Lampa! - We did the tour with Lampa and it definitely outdid our expectations!! Lampa was the best possible tour guide we could have wished for: he explained everything in a lot of detail, was enthusiastic, spoke very very good English and answered all our questions. By throwing back questions at us he quizzed the things he said so we could remember it more, which made it more fun. He had so much knowlegde about the history of buddism and Sri Lanka in general and told it in a fun and understandable way. The price may be higher than other tour guides offer but Lampa is an official licenced tour guide who studied for this job and tells so much more than the cheaper opties who would just walk along without explaining more details about the sights and history of the buddism. I would 100% recommend booking this tour with him if you are staying in Anuradhapura, looking to immerse yourself in the history of buddhism and support a hardworking man at the same time! Thank you again Lampa, it was unforgetable today and we loved it!

Nice morning tour with Lampa - Would recommend! Yes, Lampa is more expensive than a lot of the offers you get on the streets or in hotels. But if you want quality it’s definitely worth it. Lampa knows a lot and speaks perfect English. At every stop we got a lot of information and background stories about Buddhist history and Sri Lankan culture, where other tour guides just offered a quick Look without any information. Besides that Lampa is very friendly and a fun person to be around. Was nice to also talk about other things in between, like Sri Lankan society, history and his personal life about which he is happy to talk about.

Amazing experience - One of our first days in Sri Lanka, we found a tourguide on a blog for around Anuradhapura. A great way to see and understand the ancient city and its customs. We met up with Kumara in the morning and went on a private tour. He has a lot of knowledge about so much more than the city. The way he ‘teached’ us was amazing. Considering we are teachers as well, he even tested us to check if we were really listening. He’ll customize the trip to the wishes you have. He even arranged train tickets for us and showed us the possibilities for other trips. We had so much fun that we decided to book him for a daytour from Sigirya to Kandy. He listened to what we wanted and organized the tour to our wishes. We went to a woodshop, ayurveda garden, tea museum, great food and botanical gardens ending in by the tooth temple. He’ll do everything you’ll ask and more. Instead of walking in the garden he arranged a tour on a golf car with an amazing tourguide for the gardens alone. He was so funny and they both explained so much. I cannot express how grateful I am to have met Kumara. You are stupid not to book a tour with him. He’ll do everything and more for you. Even things you did not think of. I was truly sad when we had to say goodbye. Hopefully we meet again on our side of the world! Thank you! Kind regards from the teachers in Holland!

Educational & fun day with Lampa! - We went out with Lampa today. It was very educational and fun! Lampa tells everything you want to know about Buddhism, its customs and rituals in a fun, interactive way. We stopped at many different highlights of Anuradaphura and at each place he was able to tell more that related to his previous stories. In addition, Lampa is very friendly and we had a lot of laughs with him. To end a very nice tour, we had lunch at an authentic Sri Lankan tent. Travel with Lampa is highly recommended 👌🏼

Very happy with our experience! - Had a super fun day! The guide spoke good English and told something very interesting at each place. With a small break in the middle of the day, which was very nice, we set out again in the afternoon. We also received all kinds of tips for places to eat, really great! Very happy with our experience!

UNESCO $$$$$$$$$ Anuradhapura - Anuradhapura have put the price up again. This temple is special but they are outpacing 50% of would be visitors. I and many others I met elected not to go purely due to its horrific pricing. They are now only catering to the monies tourists, or short term island group tours who make a quick run around island. There is so much to see in the place generally you don't have to feel obligated.
