I would certainly repeat - It was a very special excursion. If you are looking to get out of the super tourist spots and into one of the islands in the area, it is your place. We enjoyed a barbecue and a sunset being only on the island those who traveled with the tour (they are not groups of more than 25 people). The Guide was great and is always on the lookout for nothing missing.

Beautiful sunset with BBQ on Hong Island - The tour guide team was very good, highly competent and very friendly. The trip via longtail boat was very nice. The sunset with BBQ was a wonderful experience. The experience with bioluminescent plankton was unique.

Phenomenal scenery - This was a great tour. We got picked up from the dock to drive to the departure point. We waited a while for other people to arrive and then boarded the longboat. Tip - bring earplugs because the motor is very loud. Save your hearing! We arrived to Hong Island which is one of the highlights of our trip. What an incredible place! The view at the top of the lookout is spectacular. I am very glad I climbed the hundreds of stairs to get there. The water was not deep enough to pass through the opening in the other side of the island, so we just took pictures from the boat. We traveled a bit longer to a smaller island and watched the sunset. 🌅 It was so peaceful and awesome. The food was pretty good, too. We traveled about an hour to get back in the dark. But we took that time to reflect on the experience, which is nice. Before pulling in to the beach, we stopped to see the photoluminescent plankton. I had never seen anything like that. It was very cool.

Amazing views and bioluminescent snorkeling - The tour was run very well, with a busy itinerary for only a few hours. The viewpoint at Hong Island was incredible, and the snorkeling afterward was very rewarding. The buffet dinner was excellent, and provided great views of the sunset. The bioluminescent snorkeling at the end of the tour was very unique and memorable. My only suggestion would be to have more time on Hong Island before moving to the dinner spot, since it is a great island with lots to do and see.

Perfect tour but expensive on Viator buy from locals - The tour was excellent. The tourists are leaving the Hong island when we arrived. The sunset was spectacular. The staff and the food they cooked was very good. The only thing was the price on Viator, you can get the same trip half the price if you buy it from the local tourist agencies.

Great day out - Great guy in charge of the boat. Amazing food on the beach which had really good vegan and vegetarian options. Got to visit some beaches that hadn’t been totally smashed to pieces by boats yet. Saw some good fish whilst snorkelling. Brilliant day out

Tour was ok. But i almost died. - The trip went fine for most people, but i had an anaphylactic choc after the evening BBQ. Never happened before. Was hospitalized two days, the doctors said it was something in the spices. I don't blame the tour for that, but i nearly died on the way to return. They rushed me to hospital quickly and it was very appreciated.

I would NOT consider this tour. Unsafe not as described. - I really wanted to love this tour, but I was very disappointed and very concerned about our safety. I am going to give my honest review. Pros: as you can see from my images, Hong Island and the other island we visited to view the sunset are simply breathtaking. This is why I gave 2 stars instead of 1. I also liked that they gave us 2 hours to explore Hong Island and the 360 view point However, do yourself a favor and do your research. Cons: Very old and worn boat, they had a gas tank next to the motor and kept smoking near it continuously. Tour says water, fruit and sodas were included but not once did they offer us anything. One other tourist asked for water and the guide (if you can call him that) said “oh yes, I’m sorry I forgot you can have water”, then we had water. They kept drinking the water and sodas and didn’t offer us any. Lunch was decent but the chicken was not cooked well. The guide barely spoke to us and didn’t communicate to everyone. Those closest motor couldn’t hear a thing. Plankton stop was 10 min if that. The ride took 45 or so minutes to go and over an hour to return. I would recommend the speedboat option. We had done an amazing tour to Maya bay just 2 days prior which I rated 5 stars.

Tourist trap. - Really looked forward to this trip as the reviews here were positive. But tbh we really had an uncomfortable trip since the boat was stuffed with way to many ppl. The trip to Hong was quite long and when it’s so crowded a longtail boat can get really unpleasant. Couldn’t move or see anything. So would be fair if they spread the people on more boats for the amount of money people pay. We also had to wait quite long every time (the car pickup, getting on the boat etc) because they had to manage all the people. The ‘3 hour stop’ at Hong in the info is misleading because we only were there for an hour. Spending 300 bath p.p. For such a short time is a pity. Hong was a beautiful stop of course. Also the bbq was really good food and the staff was friendly. But we look back at dull and unpleasant transport. IMPORTANT SIDENOTE: I saw the staff throwing there cigarettes on the beach. And when you say ‘no smoking’ on the boat than be an example also. I’m not even a smoker myself but this really disappointed me. Last but not least: My advice would be to book a longtail boat for yourself, it’s almost the same price and more spacious. I hope ppl read this review and don’t spoil their trip to this beautiful island with this company.

Zero flexibility on the human side. - Although im understanding their 24 hours cancellation policy i'got sick by the day of the tour with the usual asia virus. Woke up with high fever and diarrhea which made me impossible to attend on the tour. I contacted them early morning and explained the situation by asking for any possible workaround to shift the tour by 1 or 2 days. They showed zero flexibility by telling me i should have called a day before when i obviously was not sick yet. Only recommendation was to buy another ticket. Was very dissapointed as we were looking forward this tour with my wife and was not asking for a cancellation just for a bit of understanding on the situation and give me 1-2 days to feel better.
