Thank you for a fantastic Tour and welcoming, knowledgeable guide - Chris was our tour guide. He provided a interesting detailed commentary as we went as well as regaling great legends and information about the areas. He told us about the customs of Samoa and the people and how he was raised. He even sang to us. The places we stopped were beautiful. Our first stop was at Pialu Cave Pool. I hadn't intended to swim, but the water was so inviting I had to go in. The place is serene and peaceful and the cool water refreshing on a hot day. Chris made everything easy, pointing out where the facilities were, where to go and what there was to see. On the way to Sopoaga Falls, he drove us up a mountain road from where we had fabulous view of the ocean and unspoilt countryside. The falls were magnificent and Chris entertained us by teaching us how to make coconut cream. At To Sua Ocean Trench, we again enjoyed swimming in a mix of sea and fresh water. We were lucky as it was calm and almost empty. Be prepared for the steep walk back up the ladder to get out. Vavau beach Fales is a picturesque beach, with white sand and crystal clear waters. We were taken to a great spot for lunch, Aga Reef resort and Chris kindly took our orders in advance and phoned them through to the restaurant so we didn't have to wait long to be served. It was very relaxing sitting out on the deck overlooking the pool and endless seas. Namua Island was probably my favourite stop. On the boat trip across we saw many turtles in the shallow clear waters. Over on the pristine beach we were able to leave our belongings in a fale while we went snorkelling. The reef has an amazing variety of fish of all shapes, sizes and colours. I had a couple of encounters with a very curious triggerfish that kept swimming right up to my goggles before turning away at the last minute. All up it was one of the best days we had in Samoa, much of which was contributed to Chris' welcoming personality and great sense of humour.

Best day on our Samoa trip! - We were recommended Tai's tour from our accommodation and we couldn't be happier! Not only was Tai super friendly, but he was incredibly knowledgeable and informative. We went on a tour for 8 hours but it just flew by, visiting a number of the most amazing natural beauties that Samoa has to offer. We were initially tossing up whether to go on a tour or rent a vehicle to take ourselves around but having now gone on the tour I am 100% sure we made the right choice. Highly recommend!

Spent 3 days touring with Tai’s, I highly recommend them! - I spent 3 of my 7 days in Samoa touring with Tai’s. I got to see the island of Savaii as well as the East and West sides of Upolu. I learned a lot about the history and culture from a local chief, saw the most beautiful waterfalls, and snorkeled at the best spots. Tai’s made the whole experience easy and fun! I highly recommend spending the day (or 3) with them!

Solo traveler spent 3 days touring with Tai’s, I highly recommend! - I was a solo traveler and spent 3 days out of my weeklong trip touring the islands with Tai’s brother. I had originally booked 2 days but towards the end of my trip there were a few more specific places I wanted to see and they were thankfully able to accommodate me on short notice! I went on a nice day trip to the island of Savaii, another solo traveler joined this tour. It was definitely worth the trip as it has a lot of different things to offer than Upolu island. My other 2 tours were on Upolu…basically one day to the Eastern side of the island and one to the West. Thankfully with their help and guidance I was able to see all the best waterfalls, snorkel at the best spots (definitely go to Palolo Deep, and I also loved the amazing giant clams at Savaia), experienced some wonderful views from up in the mountains, and most importantly got the local perspective on life in Samoa and learned a lot about the history and culture. Samoa is a beautiful and wonderful place. I highly recommend booking a tour with Tai’s Native Experience!

Cash grab tour - We got our resort reception (Aga Reef Resort) to call the tour provider to check if we can be picked up at our resort or meet at Namua Island jetty, instead of Apia. Our resort is only 9 minutes away from the jetty to Namua Island, which seems to be the first stop of the tour after Apia. However, whoever we spoke to on the phone demanded another 50USD if we don't want to start the tour at Apia. They said that because they have to drive all the way over here and there are only 4 of us for the tour. This doesn't make any sense as they have to come all this way to start the tour anyway (?!). Of course we didn't pay an extra 50USD as this is such a cash grab. Instead of making the same amount of money and spending less time taking us around Apia, they chose to forgo the whole income and provide terrible customer service.
